I came across Inuyasha for the first time when I was 13, maybe 14. I like so many others fell in love with it, and of course I started off shipping InuKag. It wasn't until I was older that I saw the appeal of SessKag. I now prefer SessKag over InuKag in most cases actually.

I think what first attracted me to it was the contrast. Kagome and Sesshomaru were polar opposites. They balance each other out in a way that Inuyasha and Kagome just don't.

Their relationship could start in so many different ways, and watching Sesshomaru in particular open up to Kagome is something I never get tired of reading. The care and dedication is something I can imagine both of them craving and eventually finding in one another.

I love adding Rin and Shippo to the mix as well. I feel Kagomes's relationship to Shippo almost mirrors Sesshomaru's relationship to Rin, and thinking of that being one of the first things they bond over always heartwarming.
