Before I further my perspective, I want to situate myself: I am a Nordic European who cannot vote in the election, as I am not an American citizen nor live there. I am born and raised in a socialist democratic nation (though I fear that we are also turning more right-wing) and would describe myself as a socialist. Had i been an American citizen, I would have voted for Kamala and urged others to do so, though I do not blame the people who didn't (though I do think voting for Jill Stein is a waste of a vote, but that's a point for another day). Leftists abstaining their vote, or voting for another person, did not make the democrats lose the election – the failed campaign and radicalisation did.

As I stated in my former post, I think you being called these things by left-wingers ARE the problem. It's disgusting. That's why I'm urging people to not do infighting in the party, as it will end up alienating groups of people and discurage change. You can be as disappointed and angry as you want, you have the right to do so; this is a fucking shitty situation, but my point is that I hope this doesn't kill peoples' kindness for other people. The Palestininians did not vote; they're actively getting killed. It's not their fault. Facist ideology is a part of the reason why their genocide is happening. Ceasing to care for them due to the anger towards leftist non-voters and those writing those comments, is an illfound place for this anger. If every single Palestinian wished death upon me, I would still fight for their right to exist. Human rights are not a conditional thing for me and I don't believe it should be for others. This also counts for leftists whose anger is illfounded and projected towards Harris' voters – voting for Harris does not make one pro-genocide and 'lesser-evil' voting in a two-party system is a nessecary strategy.

I do think that the infighting these days are a reflection of the state of the world and the hopelessness we feel living in it. I also think that most people do not engage in these discourses, but are simply feeling the discouragement from the election results. Anger and disappointment and sadness and fear are all natural emotions right now, but I don't think the general population of leftists wanted Trump to win, even if they didn't vote for Harris.

Now, I am not sure wether or not 'intifada' was meant in an ill intent (as the word has been used to demonise Arab people), but it does mean 'resistance'. I urge everyone to fight for what is right and resist government tyranny. That said, if you voted for Donald Trump or Jill Stein or abstained from voting in a hope that Trump would win, you are stupid. You cannot teach the democrats a lesson, cause they will not listen; they don't care. Trump is a racist piece of fascist shit and he has now gotten the greenlight to do whatever he wants. Change starts small and grows, that's why I urge people to hold their reprasensatives accountable in their states and be informed on ballot measures and local elections.
