idk best part of count the rice is every time a player would make a joke in the grant room and thirty white guys would laugh uproariously no matter how good the joke was. truly so full of whimsy and joy
Can you imagine freshman year Adaine trying to look into Fig's future partner because she's worried that she's hooking up with all this older men but because she cant really control what she sees the only info she gets is the last name Aguefort and age 400+
Grace and Rocky meeting the crew of The Wurst send tweet
Grace looks at Margaret Encino and has a moment of panic thinking Stratt somehow followed him to space.
Rocky just starts assuming that redheaded-micromanaging-banking-Important™-women are a simply universal constant.
Poor dude lost two of his heads and some clothing items and found himself on a game changer set

Game Changer, pls put out episodes on nights where I don't have to work the next morning. I need time to talk to my Tumblr mutuals.
catherine might be the first game changer player who understood the assignment, immediately failed the assignment, figured out the assignment better, told everyone else the assignment, and then failed multiple times cause she truly cannot describe pictures (or name songs). player of all time. i love seeing someone who clearly gets and loves game changer and is just plain bad at games. representation for all of us.
We need Catherine back on game changer because she figured out the game FAST. Unfortunately she told everyone her theory and she was also very bad at describing pictures
Ify is in an episode of Game Changer. Zach and Jiavani are in The Good Place. Anna is in the timeloop. Demi is in a Charlie Chaplin film but that film is also a Mario 64 speedrun. Hannah Pilkes is having the day she always has but in the backrooms, and Catherine McCafferty is of course in As Above So Below.
The editors super mega fucking cooked on the new game changer episode. Definitely the most humor from just cuts and transitions out of any episode so far. Sam all alone is also always so funny

"If at first you don't succeed, ẗ̵̡̡͜r̷̳͎̍̑͗y̸̰͝,̷̣̤̫̈́̔ ̷͝ͅṯ̵̞̺͊r̶͚̠̣̔͘y̶̧̫̭̓,̴̢̈́ ̶̤̭̀t̴̢̜̟̋̔̔ȑ̴̼̔y̸͈̻̫̓̒̿,̶͖̹͒͝ ̷̹̫̻̉̎t̵̬̀͌͌r̶̪̈́͒y̸̨͎̭͛͠, try again." - Game Changer, S6.6
obsessed with the new game changer. It's literally a frankinstein the best parts of Season Six.
Game mechanics spoilers for:
Ep 8.5 "Count the Rice" (the most recent ep)
Ep. 6.5 "Bingo"
Ep 6.6 "Deja Vu"
Ep 6.7 "Beat the Buzzer"
(winner not spoiled for any game)
Game Changer hit their "a game within a game" stride in S6. They began to move away from episodes like modified improv games ("Like My Coffee") and new takes/parodies on classic game shows ("The NewlyWebs Game" or "Name a Number") and were starting to really challenge their players and audience. I remember watching bingo when it had first come out and being delighted by the first twist of the second cast, and shocked by the third. (Especially because it was revealed so late in the episode.)
Before, then, we had mostly learned along with the players. They were our guiding light in each game. But with “Bingo” the camera was the one who told us everything. We had one up on the players. But we still felt unstable. It was still fun.
The the first twist of "Count the Rice" happened super early in the game. With Room Two, something was afoot and this wasn't the end for our dear players.
With the giant two on the door viewers could assume that there was more to come and even more doors to open.
And while changing set and locations is nothing new to game changer now. It was a novelty in earlier seasons. A novelty exploited by "Beat the Buzzer".
This episode created sets within sets and created a beautiful maze for the players. The audience was ripped away from their familiar Game Changer stage and thrust into the nooks and crannies of a production studio. It felt like a scaled-up version of S5's "Escape The Greenroom". But it got to be a lot more fast-paced due to the nature of the game.
"Count the Rice" like "Beat the Buzzer" has an insanely fast editing style that keeps the game interesting even the audience knows all the "secrets" behind each door.
The casting seemed to be a mix of energetic and competitive cast members and cast we we either haven't seen before (like Catherine McCafferty) or those don't get to see a lot of (Zach Reino). + A bunch of familiar faces in supporting roles.
"Deja Vu" did the same throwing and cast members for bits here and there. And also casted those competitive players (Trapp, Ify, and Siobhan) again. The editing got faster as the episode became more repetitive keeping the audience engaged, even if we were seeing the exact same thing over and over and over and over again.
But I think where "Cound the Rice" succeeds over everything else is that they kept a secret (almost) the whole time.
The damn condition card had us guessing the entire 55min long episode. Almost every episode of Game Changer the game is fully figured out at about halfway through. And that was true for a few of the players (Cathrine, Ify, Demi, and Anna) but the the audience didn't know how to win the game until the final moment.
"Count the Rice" was so clean, controlled, and exciting. Each room was so cool and creative.(And yes, the Grant O'Brien room was, of course, the best one.) Can't wait to continue watching Game Ghanger build on itself.
Thx for reading my long post a looking at my shitty screenshots.
just got an idea for a banger couples shirts design
D20 fans: Now that CCOD is over, do we still have to tag with #spoilers ? If yes, is there exceptions?
And for past seasons, do we still have to tag spoilers? Like for CloHo and Unsleeping city?
Me when someone suggests I leave the dead clown corpse behind:

The fact Zac Oyama is playing a hot sexy 80s vampire rn and is barely getting hit on by the table with his hotness being more of a gag but back when he played a 90 year old cowboy they were all salivating for him.
