his breathing is better, more even, he uses his entire voice mechanism unlike maknae line where 2/3 get stuck in head voice and 1 keeps switching without nailing most of his transitions (maknae line are good! but saying they’re better than jin is ridiculous! do you not have ears!)

jin? switches almost effortlessly, breathes appropriately, has good stance and brings air down into his core, opens up his throat properly, uses his mouth and has clear enunciation, can move between rich, full voice and breathy falsetto without getting stuck in sounding breathy all the time, compensates for movement so fucking well that if you closed your eyes you’d think he was standing still while singing

To say he isn’t the strongest is an outward lie, when every member has their vocal strengths and weakness just like Jin. I’m a musician myself, so when I make this statement I have actual knowledge on the basis of what I say. 

Out of all voices, his holds the most clarity. Jin has the least tongue tension and can raise his soft palate successfully when singing higher notes thus giving that mellow bright sound when he hits anything above the 4th octave. This is something EVERY. MEMBER. OF. THE. MAKNAE. LINE. STRUGGLES. WITH. Some of them tend to sound more muffled heading into the 5th octave and therefore resort to breathier falsettos to avoid straining their vocals while others go for a head voice but with minimal support on the note they sing. 

Secondly, the ONLY weakness to his vocals which was ONLY applicable to him during his debut days, was that when transferring the air to pass out he would direct it through his nasal passage instead of his oropharyngeal passage, giving it that very helium like and “mousey” sound. BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE ANYMORE. 

Many of you mention that he “cracks” his voice, and bc y’all need some educating, sit down and lemme spill the tea. What you consider a vocal flaw is actually a stylistic choice that he makes as an artist while singing, and does NOT equate to him being a “bad singer” or whatever bullshit y’all gotta say. He does that ON PURPOSE because it sounds like he is singing with more emotion and it is actually fucking ingenious. He does it in his cover of “I Love You”, and he does it in “Awake”. Tell me you haven’t felt your heart numbing or your eyes tearing up when you heard him sing those two songs.
