Trek This Imagination

( @roseunnie ) Request: Could you do an imagine where the reader and kakashi are in a relationship and his team doesn’t know. And one day he sets down i.i.p (his book) and they open it and it turns out it’s letter and notes from the reader instead of what it really is, and towards the end when they go to give kakashi his book back they see him with the reading doing something fully like hugging or kissing or whatever you want - then they bombard the reader with questions?

A/N: I made this when team seven is all genins (Minus kakashi obviously) so sasuke’s still there.

Team Seven couldn’t quite believe their eyes. Sakura had thought they’d been put in a genjutsu and Sasuke, thinking there was no other reasonable explanation had listened to his rose-haired teammate and even tried to break them out of the genjutsu all while Naruto sputtered like an idiot.

But it hadn’t been a genjutsu. Kakashi had really left his book behind and in front of them no less.

“I suggest we look at it,” Sakura mumbled, eyes stuck on the book. She didn’t dare tear her gaze off of the book, in fear that the moment she looked away, it would disappear.

“And what?” Sasuke mumbled, shoving his hands in his pockets. “See a bunch of naked woman?”

“Yeah, Sakura-Chan,” Naruto exclaimed, scratching at his cheek in confusion. “I didn’t know you were interested in that kind of stuff.”

Sakura blushed, sputtering and waving her arms madly. “No, you idiot!” Delivering a nasty blow on top of Naruto’s head, she huffed. “Our sensei is a complete mystery, and I wasn’t the one who suggested we find out more about him,” she eyed Sasuke. “It can’t just be porn in there, th-there has to be more! Something that takes up all of Kakash-Sensei’s attention.”

“Or he’s just a pervert.”

“I’m gonna have to agree with Sasuke-Teme, Sakura-Chan,” Naruto mumbled, recovering from the nasty blow. “Kakashi-Sensei’s just a pervert.”

Sakura shook her head, biting her lip in determination as she ignored her teammates. Taking careful, tentative steps towards the book, Sakura held her hand out, watching as the orange coloured book grew closer and closer.

“Tch,” Sasuke spat, “it’s not gonna bite you.”

Embarrassed, Sakura quickly snatched the book up in her hands, turning back around to her teammates as her hands nervously begun peeling both sides down. One eye remained closed, for safety, as slowly but surely the pages were revealed to Sakura. 

But instead of naked woman in lewd positions, Sakura found quite the opposite. 

Her shoulders slumped with relief, and her brows furrowed in confusion as she begun flipping pages, looking over the contents of Kakashi’s mysterious book. 

“What is it, Sakura-Chan?” Naruto asked loudly, once he noticed the calm look on Sakura’s features instead of the horror he’d expected to find.

“Well… nothing,” she mumbled, shaking her head. “It’s just a bunch of notes and letters.”

“What?” Naruto mumbled, walking over to his only female teammate. Sasuke, despite himself, followed and both boys went on either side of Sakura, peering over her shoulder and down at the book.

As Sakura continued flipping through, she stumbled upon a picture. “Hey…” Sakura mumbled, pulling the picture closer for better inspection. “Isn’t that…?”

“Y/N-Sensei!” Naruto yelled, grinning. 

“Shut up, Dobe,” Sasuke growled.

“You shut up, Teme!” Naruto screamed, glaring at Sasuke through Sakura and the book.

Sasuke opened his mouth to retort, but Sakura interrupted whatever he’d been about to say by quickly shutting the book. Both boys glanced at their teammate in confusion watching as her face grew red. “Sakura,” Sasuke called, “what’s wrong?”

“N-Nothing,” Sakura muttered, shaking her heard. “We should return this to Kakashi-Sensei. He’s probably looking all over for it.”

“Aweh! Sakura-Chan, we could’ve gotten some dirt on Kakash-Sensei!”

Sakura only shook her head, continuing to walk in the direction Kakashi had left.

When young Team Seven finally found their Sensei, sure enough you were by his side. All three paused, watching as you and Kakashi held hands and you leaned into Kakashi’s chest, his arm coming around your waist. It was sweet, actually and it melted little Sakura’s heart.

Shaking her head, Sakura continued to walking forward, her lingering teammates following.

“Kakashi-Sensei!” Sakura called, raising her hand in a wave. Pulling back from the embrace, Kakashi glanced over, finding his three little students and whatta-know, his book. “Here ya go, Kakashi-Sensei!” Sakura exclaimed, grinning brightly as she handed her Sensei his book. “You forgot this on our training grounds.”

“Well thank you, Sakura!” A lone eye crinkling told Sakura, Kakashi was grinning her way.

“Kakashi,” you called, interrupting softly as you caught the attention of his three students. “Won’t you introduce me?” Team Seven was not oblivious to the way you grabbed his hand, stepping closer to Kakashi with a soft smile.

“Ah, Y/N, this is my little genin team. Sakura,” he gestured to the pink-haired girl who smiled brightly. “Naruto,” then to the blonde-haired boy who waved animatedly. “And Sasuke,” and finally, the black-haired boy who only gave a small nod.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you all!” You grinned, waving at them.

“Ne, ne, Kakashi-Sensei,” Naruto called, “are you and Y/N-Sensei dating?”

You blushed, giggling as you shook your head amusement.

“Naruto!” Sakura yelled, jabbing your fist into the poor boy’s stomach, before turning back to her sensei and his friend. “But… are you? I read the journal, Kakashi-Sensei, you seem very fond of Y/N-Sensei.” Sakura smirked and Kakashi cursed in his head - oh, his students were good.

“Oh really?” You questioned, raising a brow as you turned to your boyfriend. “What sort of things, Sakura-Chan?”

Sakura’s sudden red face was all you needed to know.

“Haha,” Kakashi laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well it’s been fun, but Y/N and I must really be going.” Pulling on the hand he held, you were gently tugged forward.

“Wait!” Naruto yelled, “you never answered our question!”

“Yeah!”

Laughing, you turned round; “we are!”

“Don’t encourage them,” Kakashi sighed a while later, when it was just the both of you. Giggling, you set your hands against his chest, raising a brow. “Well, maybe you shouldn’t leave your porn book in their hands.”

Kakashi rolled his eyes; “Sakura must’ve read the one about that night…” Kakashi whispered, leaning into your neck. “Do you remember?” He questioned, pressing a kiss against your exposed neck.

You sighed contentedly, “oh I remember.”

“Finally. We’re here.” Sasuke mellowly stated.

You gazed upon the expansive white walls and the open green gatethat lead to your destination.

“So, this is it?” You spoke curiously.

“Welcome to Konoha,” Sasuke mentioned as he continued onwarddown the path that lead to Konoha’s gate.

“It’s a lot sunnier than I imagined and its hot. Seems itsnothing like Kirigakure,” you muttered, mostly to yourself as you took in the scenery.

The temperature was definitely hotter than you were used to,but the humidity was an old friend. You were used to moisture being in the airand the smell of sea-salt in the breeze. Konoha had no bodies of watersurrounding it, but instead smelled of luscious Earth. The Village was notcalled Hidden in the Leaves for nothing, as every plant was vibrant andthriving.

You never seen such a bright and sunny place. Your old homeof Kirigakure was normally gloomy, with over cast skies and cool weather. You couldn’timagine growing up in a village like this. You side-eyed Sasuke at yourthought. You knew his life story and as your gaze came back to the open gates,you couldn’t help but think that even the brightest villages had dark secrets.

Appearances were always deceiving and suddenly, you feltunsure about this visit. Would these Leaf shinobi really be welcoming to aforeigner? You knew the war had created peace among the nations and others weremore readily accepting than before, but… would they still feel the same whenthey learn who you were?

“Say…” you started, gaining Sasuke’s attention. You keptyour eyes diligently on the road ahead of you as you prepared your question. “Iknow you are certain of this, but… what of your comrades? What will they think?”

Sasuke peeked a glance at you. “Who cares what they think?” Hepaused. His tone unwavering. “Besides… you have nothing to worry about. They’reopen-minded.”

You nodded. Your thoughts flickering with second guesses, butyou mustered on in fake confidence. You weren’t going to be negative. Perhapsthey won’t even find out about your past.

As both you and Sasuke stepped through the threshold of thegate, there was a gasp from the guard on duty. They obviously knew who Sasukewas as they greeted him. Sasuke nodded in return, before mentioning you as aguest he brought with him. The guard understood and made you both check-in asyou gave him supporting documentation that confirmed your identities.

After checking in, the guard wished both of you a pleasantvisit and you were off with Sasuke walking through his old village. You took inevery sight. The architecture surprising you as it was much different than howyour village was. You and Sasuke seemed to walk through many crowded streets,making you realize how large the village was as you could easily get lost.

Hardly thirty minutes had passed before news of Sasuke’sarrival spread throughout the village. Both of you coming to a halt, when ayellow-haired ninja stood in your path. His features were drawn down. Hiscaptivating sky-blue eyes narrowed at Sasuke’s dark ones.

“Sasuke,” the blonde man acknowledged, his tone holding aweight you couldn’t quite grasp.

The blond ninja was not alone as two of his companions flankedhim. One had unnatural pink hair that fitted to her shoulders with emeraldcolored eyes. The other resembled Sasuke in hair and eyes, but was paler andthinner than him. They blocked off your escape. You were a step behind Sasuke,shadowed by his figure.

“Naruto.” Sasuke responded as evenly.

There was a pause and you started to wonder if these ninjawere friends or foes, until you saw a crack in the blond man’s guise.

Naruto’s lips twerked and soon his face was brimming with avivid smile. His eyes shone with joy. Your nerves melted at the sight as younotice the other two ninja smiled amiably too.

“You finally came back, I see. Teme.” Naruto commentedwarmly.  

“Are you here to stay?” The pink-haired kunoichi asked,hopeful. You saw the longing look in her eyes and knew instantly that she wasSakura. Sasuke’s old genin teammate that had a crush on him.

“Not permanently,” Sasuke responded flatly, quickly dashingSakura’s hopes.

“Heh awe well! That doesn’t matter. Team 7 is back togetheragain. Let’s celebrate your return with some Ichiraku Ramen. I know you hadn’t hadany of that stuff for a while,” Naruto suggested, cheekily. He was easilyexcitable.

“With good reason,” Sasuke mumbled. He smirked at the end ofhis statement at his light-hearted companion.

“Don’t be like that. Ramen is the best. Especially Ichiraku’s!”Naruto exclaimed, turning to head off. He wasn’t going to have anyone talk himout of his ramen or bad mouth it. “Come on, lets go!”

You couldn’t help but smile at Naruto’s theatrics.

“Wait. Just a second, Naruto,” Sakura called. Naruto stoppedin his tracks. You then noticed her eyes were pinning you down from where youstood. “Who is this, Sasuke?” Sakura questioned sweetly, with a tilt of herhead at you.  

“Y/N.”

Sasuke answered with ease. You held your head higher, seeingas eyes were finally upon you.

“They are a shinobi from the Hidden Mist that I had met onmy travels,” Sasuke explained vaguely which was what you preferred. Histeammates did not need to know all the details about your past yet.

The ninja that had resembled Sasuke was the first to speakup.

“It’s nice to meet one of Sasuke’s companions. I alwaysthought Naruto and Sakura were his only friends,” the man mentioned bluntly.

You snickered despite yourself and you could tell Sasuke wasnot impressed.

“Sai!” Sakura scolded the man named Sai quickly. “Shut it.”

Her attention then turned back to you. “My name is Sakura.It is great to meet you and you’re more than welcome to join us to eat,” Sakuragreeted, extending the invitation.

You gave her one of your practiced smiles. You could see inher eyes she was uncertain of you.

“Definitely come join us! The more the merrier! Any friendof Sasuke’s is a friend of ours,” Naruto interjected boldly, smilingwelcomingly.

“They’re not just a friend, Naruto,” Sasuke interruptedcasually. “They are my fiancé.”

All of team 7’s eyes widened at the news. You had to stifle agiggle by biting your lip at how shocked their faces were. There was also anervous twinge in your belly. You knew some of it was from the butterflies atSasuke calling you his fiancé and announcing it to everyone. The other part ofyour nerves was because you were uncertain how Sasuke’s old comrades wouldtreat you.

“Come again?” Sakura stuttered out, in disbelief while simultaneouslyNaruto and Sai sprang to life.

“Congrats,” you heard Sai say, smiling pristinely at theboth of you.

“Are you kidding me? That’s great, man. I’m so happy for you,”Naruto cheered as he was within Sasuke’s space, placing a hand upon hisshoulder. He was giving Sasuke another cheeky grin before his golden smile snapto you.

“And you! Y/N! How’d you manage to crack open Sasuke’s heart?”Naruto jest.

“That’s a long story,” you replied with ease, smirking. “Idid what you did, similarly. I had to knock some sense into him.”
