“My body is fat and I love it.”

“I’m not fake, I’m the realest I’ve ever been.”

"I’m proud of my skin colour.”

The world at large has shaped today’s beliefs and standards of behaviour and I am here to impeach and put an end to it. I am here to tell everyone to get over it. Do you want in, too? Do you want to tell society to get over it, but don’t know how?

Here’s how: Join the #GetOverIt Campaign.

Visit my blog, go to the ask page, and submit a comment you want to tell society. It can be as simple as “I don’t shave” or a little more complex like “I love my dark skin. So no, I don’t want to use the latest skin lightening product.”

The point of this campaign is to collect comments from real people (this is where you come in!) and use the comments and turn them into illustrations. These illustrations will be the voice of our youth. The voice that is trying to reach the narrow-minded people who just can’t get over today’s beliefs. 

I’ll also be adding the hashtag #GetOverIt in my illustrations. (How else am I supposed to get this thing to go viral, eh?)

This campaign focuses on women, but don’t let that stop you from submitting your statement! A lot of topics come under women: racism, sexuality, body positivity, and the like.
