Well shit I met up with a guy I’ve been friends with online for like 15 years and he was gorgeous and tall and nice and lovely aaaaaand…. He’s from Australia so I’ll probably never see him again 🙃🙃🙃

He came back on Friday and we had 12 whole hours together and now he’s on a plane home and I am mad/sad about it 😭

Savage month between 2 weeks of illness and three injuries (shin splints, patellar [knee] tendonitis and my neck seizing/spasming for a week).
Had to stop all repetitive movements on my knee, can do an occasional light run. Hoping to be able to increase running again in a couple of weeks 🤞

Absolutely savaged myself for how hard and terrible this run felt but then I sat down by the river for a bit and remembered…
1. It’s my first outdoor/trail run since last autumn
2. I haven’t ran in 2 weeks and only been able to run 4 times this month due to injuries (tendonitis in my knee and some minor shin splints)
3. I’ve had 0 appetite and haven’t eaten a proper meal in a week for god knows what reason
4. I’ve only been back running for a bit over 2 months anyway
So, of course it felt hard. But 2 miles nonstop with all that in mind isn’t too bad 🥳
