everyone rightfully complains about how the r word is back in vogue now but I think the people talking about how using ChatGPT makes you a small brained lazy degenerate are getting off way too easy

I feel a perpetual deep-seated alienation from most people in academia because everyone behaves like cops and hall monitors, and then I log onto tumblr to see the exact people who do the alienating posting about how emotionally difficult it is for them to report students for (possibly) using AI to write an assignment

the twists and turns a nationalist mind takes to excuse that dude assaulting a russiаn speaking woman. it’s ok if she’s russiаn. it’s not ok if she’s ukrаiniаn but also ok if she’s russiаn speaking, she should’ve unlearned it. and this isn’t like a one time thing, you can find multiple instances of ukrаiniаns in europe getting harassed for speaking russiаn, and it goes like this “it’s good they’re harassed for being russiаn -> new info comes out about them being ukrаiniаns -> it’s good they’re harassed for speaking russiаn any real ukrаiniаn wouldn’t speak it” like please get some neurons firing

efforts towards a "positive vision of masculinity" or whatever are so funny because what these guys are trying to figure out is literally "what's a way of being a good person that's Not For Girls™"

there’s a special place in purgatory reserved only for russian libs/diaspora who eagerly cheer on todays drone strikes in elektorstal/kotovsk/noginsk :)
