Cimarrona Pots
This project began as a creative exploration of Costa Rican identity. I was searching for a way to create something unique, something that felt true to the culture, but presented in a fresh and meaningful format. That’s how the idea for Cimarrona Pots came to life. I took elements from the traditional Mascaradas (a cultural symbol deeply tied to Costa Rican festivities) and blended them with a natural component that’s just as iconic: plants. The result is a series of limited-edition ceramic pots that carry a strong visual narrative, rooted in heritage, nature, and celebration. Each piece represents a character from the mascarada tradition, but reimagined to grow and evolve, just like culture itself. This concept is about more than form or function. It’s about keeping the tradition alive in a way that feels current, emotional, and iconic. A souvenir not just to remember, but to connect.
