Personal opinion:
Similar to how there is not one size fits all situations with mobility aids, I do not think there is one form of AAC that will fit every situation for most people.
I use two AAC apps on two separate devices to communicate, depending on My needs that day. I also do not use purely high tech, I also use low tech and no tech AAC, again depending on needs.
Lots of people think if you give someone an AAC tablet it can used be always. But that is simply not true! You cannot use a tablet in water, for example.
I think many AAC users should be open to more options instead of sticking to one single form of AAC. You might find it helpful!

hate when our mom tells us we just need to "learn to cook" you know we struggle to do so much on our own and you completely ignore it we need help of our 10 year old niece to properly make mac and cheese and she knows we literally have a caregiver that meal preps for for us when when she was oue caregiver (and getting paid for it) she cooked all our food and you just think Dream isn't trying hard enough. she completely ignores our disabilities unless she wants to be like "my 2/3 kids alive are disabled and need care" yet you ignore our support and needs and push responsibilities on us that makes us suicidal and physical sick and have mental breakdowns but you know :) we just need to try harder. "just do it" ... shut up

LRB now we're depressed cause we don't have a service animal- dog in our case. we barley have the energy for much- we still dont know how to handle money without help- we really want a service dog one day and take good care of it- each it so much or have it already taught- but were just a random disabled person in an expensive area on disability trying to get buy- we need to be able to handle our money better before gettting a dog- our aid said she's help is care for one (like take it out and make sure we get food) but that costs a lotta money + vet + our last aid left us unexpectedly and we didn't have help for months and it was horrible and we just can't do stuff alone we need help and our mom just wants us to get more responsibilities and we really want a pet one day... maybe emotional support pair or rats... idk... we really wish we lived on a farm and had a opossum and pig and service dog and we really want a service dog... we feel like shit... we wish we had more help.. idk we need to get out of debt and get our shit together and get a dog and train it...
also we meant to post this 2 hours ago but we left our phone in a car and we had to get it wanna explode it wa so stressful kms
