seemed like a cool chill time tbh

i basically only use tumblr for blogging purposes (or memes) these days but i wanted to put out a little update on how i’m doing in case anyone was curious!

I’m writing this on my was home from my first root canal (ever), so i have some tips for my fellow anxiety/panic disorder/ptsd people who may be about to go through the same thing!

also! noise cancelling or bass boosting headphones! i use skullcandy crusher evos and the vibration of the bass is enough to drown out the tools. i also brought a nee-doh ice cube stress ball.

do not be afraid to go to your pcp/doctor for anti anxiety pills! 2mg of Ativan had me in a nice chill spot once i got into the chair. the numbing shots actually weren’t that bad after they put a numbing gel in first.

when i tell you. this endodontist numbed me all the way from my chin up to my eyelids, i mean it. find an endodontist who specializes in root canals! it felt like a numbed up deep cavity filling and then they whirr around in there (very gently), then fill the tooth with some stinky stuff (medicine) they seal it then your done! i never once felt any bit of pain.

i have one more root canal to go after this and then two crowns and five fillings 👍🏻🫠

also!! Ginger got surgery to remove some lipomas and fix an umbilical hernia! it’s been about two weeks and she’s healing up super nicely and is starting to get more energetic! poor baby :(

i’ve also been working trying to build a tattoo portfolio! I’m looking for an apprenticeship in the mid or west michigan area if anyone would like one! i want to LEARN DAMN IT. my portfolio is on my instagram if you wanna see some recent art from me!

Skippy’s been here for a little over three months! He’s a very fast learner, here’s a few things he’s learned how to do so far:

-eat food without being scared it’ll be taken away

-walk on a leash

-play fetch (his fav is the tennis ball)

-get the zoomies

-sit and shake for a treat

-go outside without being scared

-watch for people to get home

his favorite treats are: cucumber slices, red bell pepper strips, fresh raspberries/strawberries from the garden, salmon jerky & salmon skins from trader joe’s

i seem to have neglected to post my bg3 stickers to tumblr! i’m still obsessed with this game, even though i’ve never actually made it past act 2 oops

today was Mickey’s last day. i got this dog when i was 11 years old and he saw me through elementary, middle, high school, and college. you were always such a good boy. thank you for 18 incredible years, little man. ♥️ we’ll see each other again some day ♥️
