It’s a long process to talk about but I grew up with a strong willed Christian Mom and it took me up until I was 16 to come out because of that very reason. It’s tough because I think the topic of sexuality and faith being entwined brings up a lot of questions and opinions. All I know is that the God I serve is the most amazing and loving God. My thought on it is: Why would He allow me to feel the most powerful force of the universe (love) for someone whom I wasn’t supposed to love? The teaching of the Gospel and The Lord is centered around love. So, to me, it all comes down to how you love. My love is like any other, comparably often greater, because it’s not about whom you love but rather how you love them. & regardless of who it is,I know that God loves everyone. (at least the God I serve) I love that He made me this way & I intend on loving those around me as close to unconditionally as He does. It’s beautiful. He is beautiful.
