Hi guys. I know that the majority of you don't care, but this might be my last post I will do in the Makorra fandom and I just wanted to explain this a little.

Truth is: I'm tired of feeling like a criminal just for liking a fictional ship.

Some of you maybe put the strings together, maybe some of you didn't even care to notice and that's fine.

I first joind the Makorra Tumblr in summer last year as sharpbottleshards. I was and still am angry about a lot of things that happen in the TLOK fandom overall. I don't even mind Korrasami as much as I sometimes make it out to seem but when I first joined I did so because as an artist myself (though a way smaller one) I got notfied when the comic artist that made the Mako comic got haressed. As an ex-Makorra shipper from the good old days, this made me honestly, truly angry.

Not because I'm a homophobe like a good chunk of Korrasami fans like to call us all. Not because I'm a blindsided hater that just wanted to start some drama. It was truly because I found it unfair.

I found it unfair because when Korrasami sailed, I wasn't even mad. I was confused, but that was all. When Korrasami actually happened back in 2014 I talked to my friend afterwards - that yes, is queer as well and I joked about how we took one for the team. (I know this sounds like: I'm not racist, I have a poc-friend, but bear with me...)

We both thought it was a little out of nowhere, we both thought it was done with at least some kind of extra profit in mind of the creators. But it was fine. No hard feelings.

But then, ten years later, seeing the fans of korrasami act like they have some morale highground and start to harass other people thinking they have the rights to do so... Seeing them literally shoo out hundreds of Makorra fans out of the fandom... Seeing them hate speech under every slightly Makorra related post here or on reddit. It sucks.

I want to, and I will continue to support the queer community no matter what. But being in the Makorra fandom, makes me want to shout out every five minutes: I SWEAR I'M NOT HOMOPHOBIC!! And it drains me.

It sucks that we cannot use the main hashtag anymore.

It sucks that we cannot use the main tlok subreddit anymore.

It sucks having to proof, that I'm indeed no redneck that just wants to hate on something because of politics.

I just want to have fun. And yes, I want the korrasami fans to have fun too. But the reason I used so much antiKorrasami tags in the past was because I was tired of their blown-egos. Yes, I know that was short-thought. Yes, I know that it was stupid. But I really just wanted to tell these KA-fans that no, just because their ship was the first to be queer in the childs media, doesn't make it immune to bad writing. The entierty of LOK was badly written. I say it not only because of the ships but as a whole, I think the show had truly great potential and yet it used none.

And last but not least, I deleted my old account not because their dogpiled me but because someone told me that I gave Makorra fans a bad image and yeah... I wanted to apologize for that. Fact is though, I was actually hurting for all of you here.
