𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝,  to cup the back of it as she rests against his chest. he’s ignoring the wounds across his chest, the cuts and bruises and aching ribs. because it doesn’t matter — not when he has her back. it was the thought of her, the memory of her, that kept him together, that kept him fighting long enough for the jedi and his master to return to coruscant.  [ 𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙙 𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣. ]

𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐞𝐝𝐢 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫,  his hands clutched tighter on the controls of his freighter, so much so that his knuckles were turning white. this wasn’t just any ship, that they were being sent to scout out, recover and bring back any survivors that may be in need of some medical aid.  [ 𝙣𝙤, 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙚. ]  his wife . . . senator amidala was onboard that ship. she was supposed to meet whomever she was meeting, shy of a few hours ago, but never turned up. anakin didn’t have to think twice, before he offered himself up to search for her.
