I'm just one of a kind.

The sudden forced transformation into a wolf proved tasking on the hybrid. The full moon having come and went like a whirlwind in his mind as he struggled to stir the morning after. He didn’t even know where he was as he looked around. Not exactly how anyone would like to start their Friday. He could only think of reactions if was caught outside in such a state. As with most times he shifted he had come out on the other side completely undressed.

It wasn't like Riley had felt the shift before, she'd never killed anyone but she could feel something being off, something calling her, something that was getting under her skin as she breathed. ❝ Hello? Anyone there? ❞ She questioned as she saw a figure behind some bushes. ❝ Oh.. hi. ❞ She stated as she pulled her jacket off extending it out.

A smile full of relief crossed Landon's face immediately. Of all the people he had watched cross over, Riley was one he was happy hadn't left. That she had gone back. Gotten another chance. "Hi." He grinned, taking another step towards her. "I'm, uh, I'm taking a sabbatical." It wasn't a full truth, but it was as close as he could get without having to get into the details. "I'll be around awhile. It's really good to see you."

It was good to see Landon's face. She had talked to him while she was on the other side between life and death. ❝ Are people like you even allowed to take one? I'm sorry! I don't mean that in a rude way at all, I just never thought of it that way. ❞ She spoke quickly as she tucked her hair behind her ear. ❝ It's really good to see you too. I'm glad that you're here! ❞

Tyler had never really understood why Elena and everyone else seemed to get a kick out of graveyards before. Even with his own parents. But now, with this, it felt different. He had spent more time at Matt's headstone than he ever had at his father's. It didn't feel real. Matt, gone, and this time not coming back. Standing at his gravesite wouldn't change that, but he couldn't bring himself to leave.

Riley knew the pain that it caused on her dad and really she didn't know how to help. She felt lost on this part because there was no way she could bring him back, that she could think of off the top of her head at least. ❝ Hey dad.. ❞

It was disorienting to say the least. Visiting for brief moments had been one thing, but being back, and as himself? Weird. Landon felt overwhelmed as he found himself in the midst of a crowd leading to the town square, and the closer he got, the more he realized why. "You've gotta be kidding," Landon muttered to himself. Of course he made the deal and went home on the date of a town thing. A funeral at that, which had to be some kind of cosmic joke.

Riley had only known Landon because of the time that she was between life and death. The option the just fully die or come back to life. She about stopped in her tracks when she saw him almost thinking that she was dead again and poked her arm to double check. ❝ Landon? What're you doing here? ❞

❝ You are the best! I mean you're Alice Mikaelson, like the queen of your job. ❞ She stated to boost her friend up with a smile before it softly faded for only a second. ❝ I'm doing alright. I'm trying to be there for my dad and put a smile on his face I mean after all we're all still here so yay?! I'm just trying to look at the positive side of things. ❞

. ❝ ⸻ I'm surprised I even got invited to matty blue's funeral ❞ Katherine raised an eyebrow at the funeral invitation card in her hand with matt's best picture on it . ❝ those blue eyes will be missed ❞ .

❝ Why Auntie Katherine? ❞ Riley questioned. She knew that was was bad blood with Kai and Katherine but that didn't mean that Riley had to hate them. She loved everyone and thankfully never had any bad blood with her uncle, aside from knowing that he wanted to kill her mom... ❝ He did have beautiful eyes, I know my dad is drinking up all of the alcohol right now at out house. ❞

❝ Wait.. really? I thought you were the person that did that? ❞ Riley questioned as she tilted her head to the side in confusion. ❝ I mean.. not amazing.. ❞ Her dad was spiralling, she had to clean up a couple of thrown glasses off the floor.

❝ Animal attack. Everyone is just going to agree with that ? ❞ Alice got the text . It didn't take much to put two and two together . She wasn't allowed to examine the body or do her work . What was matt even doing out there at night ? ❝ curiosity truly killed the cat ❞ Alice blurted out the pun . In this case matt being the cat . Anyone who knew her , knows alice could be a tad bit interestingly morbid .

❝ I mean.. what do you think killed him? ❞ This was her fathers best friend and of course Riley didn't think it was just an animal that got him, he was way too smart for that.
