"Damn, is this place full," Ace commented, looking around the Grill. There were most people rolling into town by the day and anyone that had been here in his mother's generation knew the Grill was the place to go. ❝ They wouldn't let me examine his body ❞ Alice simply said regarding what killed him . From what she saw definitely no animal she had seen . ❝ How's your dad holding up ? ❞ Alice hadn't seen him since the news.

❝ La la land don't get mystery creepy texts saying more to come . Should have been a wake up call . Although I'm also mad that they wouldn't let me touch the body and let some idiot do the job ❞ Alice responded before turning her attention to kai and realizing it was him . His smile only made her smile back in return . ❝ Kai, Hey. Well , he's human . WAS. Us kitty cats tend to die easier than those on the supernatural spectrum .❞

❝ No need . Death is something expected in my line of work . I mean most of my meaningful relationships are with dead people ❞ considering her line of work . ❝ Besides I gave Sheriff donovan headaches sometimes with bad timing facts and jokes and my apparent dark humor ❞

It was impossible not to let her emotions get the better of her. Elena had been looking at a photo of her and matt from high school, feeling a tear slightly shed down her cheek. It was a mix of sadness but also fear of what was coming next? How was she supposed to save and protect her family now?
