I'm going to say it because it needs to be said...
He did something dumb, ok, and stupid, and he definitely shouldn't have done it, and I don't condone it. BUT, he's a human being, he's also an amazing footballer, and all of that somehow gets thrown out the window because of ONE stupid celebration dance?
By hating and being negative about it, aren't we all just playing into the divide the human Cheeto is creating? I don't support the Cheeto and personally I think he's an idiot and a tyrant. But I believe we need to let the game be the game, we as fans do not need to encourage politics inside the game. Athletes and other celebrities are going to do these things, but if we don't react, they will eventually stop.
I support the efforts of the USWNT to create a world of soccer(or football) where everyone is accepted for who they are. Exclusion divides us, acceptance and inclusion is how we move forward into a better world.
And to the other creators who deleted all of their CP content: if that's what you thought was best then fine, but did you consider all of the time and effort and heart you put into creating that only to delete it because Christian did something stupid? If you did then I'm sorry that you can't see your own value in the works you create. You can quit posting new things for him, you can stop interacting with his tag, but you created something beautiful and that beautiful creation whether art or fic or whatever else deserves to have value.
This is my opinion on the matter, and each of you are entitled to yours, and I will not think less of any of you for your reactions.
