I have been seeing a lot of short clips from The Help in Instagram and I got so curious I made time to watch the movie today.
And it did not disappoint.
Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Bryce Dallas Howard, Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain all so wonderful in this movie. Viola Davis is always, always being her best and delivering masterpiece after masterpiece.
My favorite aside from Viola Davis are Jessica Chastain -- she's downright adorable; and Bryce Dallas Howard. Holy hell, I didn't know she could be that annoying and mean.
There are some emotional moments in this movie and of course it once again reminds me that the segregation happened not so long ago, and even now, there are a lot of injustice happens.
As a POC myself, I'm lucky I'm not an American, but still, with the state of where my country is right now, I think a reminder that kindness and compassion to fellow human beings is needed.
