I have been seeing a lot of short clips from The Help in Instagram and I got so curious I made time to watch the movie today.

And it did not disappoint.

Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Bryce Dallas Howard, Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain all so wonderful in this movie. Viola Davis is always, always being her best and delivering masterpiece after masterpiece.

My favorite aside from Viola Davis are Jessica Chastain -- she's downright adorable; and Bryce Dallas Howard. Holy hell, I didn't know she could be that annoying and mean.

There are some emotional moments in this movie and of course it once again reminds me that the segregation happened not so long ago, and even now, there are a lot of injustice happens.

The sequel is just as fun as the first one. Especially as they bring the whole family involved this time. The setting being "in a family vacation" also adds the fun on top of it!

And Sharon Stone as the main villain is just too amazing 👌 with all respect, she is THE Bitch.

But somehow, this movie is less bloody than the usual Timo Tjahjanto's style, but the comedic still punches at the right time. Really looking forward to see him develops more international action films.

It's so amazing!! The second movie is just as captivating as the first one. 

I love a really good heist movie, and for me The Bad Guys and The Bad Guys 2 are those really good heist movies--not just an animation. A lot of tricks, mindgames, and packed with actions. 

The new characters are all interesting as well, such a worthy opponents for our main characters. Even the romance in it seems very natural and not icky like many other non-animation movies for adults that feel forced. 

And the animation. Oh God, the animation. I just watched it in my TV, but I'm pretty sure if I were in cinema for this, I would be in absolute awe. The way the mix 2D and 3D as well are just epic.

Too much sex for my likings, but it does get better when the feelings finally catch up to them boys.

And that episode about Scott and Kip? That's beautiful. I cried when they finally kissed after New York won the cup.

Eps 5 and 6 are also so so so beautiful. That scene after Ilya's father's funeral diner (?), where Ilya was in that tunnel and saying all those things to Shane in Russian? That's 👌👌👌👌👌👌

Also, Ilya cries so very prettily. No wonder Shane wants to hug him tightly.

I totally can see how Ilya fell first and Shane fell harder. They just both so slow to notice that feelings are there.

Ilya reminds me of Sukuna so maybe I should read the book to have more insights of what's happening in his beautiful head.

Also, all the female characters in this series is amazing!! Especially Svetlana and Rose. I love them so much. I hope there will be more of them in second season.

Highlight also to Kipp's girl friends because giiiiiiiiiirl the shovel talk Scott got is top notch.

I also really love Kipp and his father's relationship. They are so close to each other.

Also, Shane's father! I'm more familiar of him as General Lane in Superman and Louis series, and I'm so happy he looks so soft in here.

That scene where Yuna asked for Shane's forgiveness? A ninja was cutting onion near me. I swear.

Machida Keita and Takeuchi Ryoma. What could go wrong? 

Apparently a few things could go wrong.  The strong actors line up doesn't really guarantee a movie's wow-factor and it's proven in 10Dance. 

I have no complaints about Machida and Takeuchi's performance. They are both solid. But there are only so much amazing actors can do without the help of storytelling. 

Machida and Takeuchi have chemistry, but I have problem with the way their characters' story is being told. The setting is unclear, the yearning phase is amazing, but afterward it all fell flat in my opinion. 

I personally think 10Dance would be better in a package of miniseries because in a movie format, I feel like there are still so much to tell. They need more subtext.

Another movie where the romance is completely unnecessary in my opinion. But I guess that's preference, and I definitely prefer it doesn't happen. 

But anyway, the opening of F1 The Movie is already so captivating. I love all of the pictures taken in this whole movie. Everything is so beautiful. From the sceneries, the atmosphere inside the car, in the grid, in the paddock, in the track, everything. Joseph Kosinski did a very good job on adapting the tension of F1 into an actual movie. 

I also love that they focus on Apex, the fictional team, and portrayed all other teams neutrally. 

Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff are producers also this movie so their influence in the movie are very good. 

And our actual drivers! I love to see them in the background doing their thing. It's so cool. 

And Rian Johnson done it again. 

I have so many things I like about Wake Up Dead Man, for example: 

1. The shots where a character opened the church's door and then the character's shadow is exactly on top of a missing cross. Epic. 

2. The lightings. I don't know man, something about the lightings should be analyzed because I think they put subtext to it. One that catch me the most is when Benoit Blanc finished explaining the murder, he looked up at the window and then the light bathed him in. 

3. Benoit Blanc. This man is so dramatic and he lives for it while I love him for it. 

4. Josh O'connor is so adorable!!! He played his part really well. 

5. Despite my personal feelings to some of the casts, I think everyone did a very good job. 

To be honest, I think I like the first movie better because it give me more feelings about Nick and Judy's relationship. Though, I quite enjoyed the second one too.

In this sequel, we can see more about Nick and Judy's dynamic, and despite their success as a team in the first movie, they still find some difficulties about being each other's partners because of their own worries. Nick and his emotional constipation, and Judy and her... Judy-ness. But they make it work!

And once again, they save the day 😆

Though, I gotta admit that the topic they do for the second movie got me like; "Disney? Is this really you?" Because the social critics are a bit too close to home.

What I like about this movie is also Andy Samberg's character! Pawbert is so, so unhinged. Simply lovely.

Finally got to watch Fantastic Four: The First Step, and despite the MCU fatigue I experience at the moment, I quite enjoyed it. It's fresh, not very intense, with predictable and standard superhero family story. It's light and nice to watch during your down time. 

I really like their chemistry as a family, and I gotta say that I probably love Joseph Quinn's version of Johnny Storm more than Chris Evans'. This movie explores more of Johnny's side, not only his womanizer side and it's precious. His banter with Ben is always my favorite part of Fantastic Four team dynamic. 

And Sue is a very fierce woman, isn't she. Amazing. Vanessa Kirby's face card never declined. So sophisticated and beautiful to watch. I love how she acts like a strong mother in this and protect baby Franklin with all she has. Perfect. 

Borrowing Max Verstappen's words here; simply lovely.

All the musical numbers are so powerful and it moved me so damn much. Again, I think I would be sobbing even harder if I watched the stage play, but I'm settling with the movies. Everything is just so beautiful.

The chemistry between Elphaba, Glinda and Fiyero are so top notch. Especially Elphaba and Glinda. But knowing how Cinthya Erivo and Ariana Grande behaved during the promo, I'm not suprised 🤣 also, whenever they harmonized? Chills. Very much chills.

Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein gave me the exact same feelings as the novel by Mary Shelley; melancholy.

I know it's supposed to be a horror story, but I personally think the horror part of this story is not the monster, but how Viktor violated life and cannot take the consequences.

Anyway, the movie is beautiful. Del Toro really delivered. This movie succeeded on making me hating Oscar Isaac the little; because, oh God, he played Viktor Frankenstein so well, with so much ego and pride of a man that make him so easy to hate.

On the other hand, Jacob Elordi did such a good job as the creature. The softness he conveyed with such rough physique is amazing to watch. The innocence. The pain. The sadness. Holy hell, this man could act.

And Mia Goth. Perfection in a form of elegance. Double roles! This girl is amazing.

I just watched Wicked movie. I know I'm late, but the promo for Wicked For Good is ongoing pretty hard and I got curious.

To be honest, this is my fourth time trying to watch the movie where I actually managed to watch until finish. The first three attempts? Not quite successful because I got distracted and somehow it didn't interest me that much. But this time, I really forced myself to sit down and watch it and, oh boy, I didn't regret it at all.

Because it is amazing!!! And if I knew sooner that Defying Gravity comes from Wicked, I would really stay and watch the first time for that song. Excuse me for this uncultured behavior because I'm not familiar with Broadway plays and I only know Defying Gravity song Glee (yes, I know).

And if I was so mesmerized throughout Defying Gravity from my small TV screen, I just can't imagine how it would feel hearing the song being sung live in a Broadway stage. Must be an amazing experience, huh.

The first half of this movie gives a very strong basic of each characters; Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, etc. But I think it's the second half of the movie which got really interesting where everything is unfolded.

Cinthya Erivo and Ariana Grande's vocal and acting are amazing. Their chemistry is insane.

Good Boy definitely gives me a new perspective. I think this is one of the movies from horror genre that managed to make me so emotional because I’m truly rooting for our main character, Indy, the best boy ever.

Horror movies scares me, and this one is not different, but I really love how they take the shoots from Indy’s perspective. The images are beautiful yet eerie, and adding so much mysteries because we can’t even see the humans’ face clearly. All is just below neck.

At the same time, it’s so sad also because from Indy’s point of view, everything feels so simple and yet complicated at the same time because Indy can’t really communicate with the humans as clear. No matter how hard Indy tried, the human is just not on the same wavelength.

And for you who worried whether Indy would be dead, you can rest assured because Indy would be just fine.

I don't usually watch horror genre because I'm scared and can't go to sleep afterwards, but from what I heard about this movie is that there is no ghosts in here so I brave myself because people said it's a good movie.

And it is. This type of horror is fresh and still watchable because they didn't overdo with the jumpscare so I could still understand the plot instead of closing my eyes in terror all the time.

I think I can safely say that this type of horror is the only horror that I can stomach. It's such a fun watch.

The storytelling is smart, everything being unfolds very nicely and neatly, and all of the characters are interesting. There are even some comedic events to balance everything out!

So, as Superman (2025) is still fresh, I decided to learn about David Corenswet's filmography. I got to be honest that I've never watched any projects where he was in before Superman (2025), so last weekend, I caught up to that a little. Though in the end, I could only watch the titles above as those are the only ones available in streaming services in my country that I was subscribed to (Netflix, Disney+, HBO, and Amazon Prime). There will be some other options to explore the rest of his discography, but I'm probably gonna do that some other day.

From those titles only, I kind of come to a conclusion where Corenswet is fit to play a good guy because he has the face and the charm. So, it's kind of a no-brainer that he got the Superman role, a.k.a, the best guy ever, or if I might be frank, the most gary stu character I've ever known. Corenswet is the perfect option.

James Gunn might be the one who made him Superman, but I think Ryan Murphy kind of found him found him. Because so far, Ryan Murphy's projects are the one where I love Corenswet the most.

Hollywood is very beautiful. Sure, it's not perfect -- the ending was a little bit too happy, but I think that's why I like it the most. The world is too bleak and I just wanna see the happiest ending in fiction. This project is my favorite so far.

As I watched Thunderbolts* today, I realized that I missed The Marvels! So, of course, I went to watch it, and unexpectedly, I had a lot of fun watching this!

It's fun to watch, and Valkyrie's appearance is also very nice. Though hopefully, she'll appear more and in better circumstances.

Post watching The Marvels, I also realized that we got most members of Young Avengers already; Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, Kamala Khan, America Chavez, and Billy Maximoff. We're just missy Teddy Altman, then we're good to go!!

I finally got to watch Thunderbolts* today now that it's streamed on Disney+ and... it made me have a lot of thoughts.

Yes, the movie is interesting. My MCU fatigue is still there, but I enjoyed the movie. I love how the main thing they need to "beat" is practically mental illness and depression, and I also like how our MCs basically have it themselves. Their past is so dark. I also love that Bucky is sarcastic and snarky, and his fighting sequence with the motorcycle is very cool.

Though, there are also some stuff that got me thinking.

Like, Congressman Bucky. I can see he's going on that road somehow, but the way the portrayed him in the beginning of the movie as congressman is a little off to me. Because the image that comes to my mind when I see that Congressman Bucky is kind of himbo? Like he wants the best but doesn't really know how to deal with reporters? Like as if he's being shown that he's more brawn than brain? I don't know if I like that. Bucky is a man of action. He has been with Steve forever. He knows justice, and what price to be paid for that.

Also, Bucky being in a new team. With people he barely connected with, despite they all have trauma in the past. It seems off to me. I'm not sure Bucky is fully comfortable with that team, but I'm willing to see how this new team goes.

And Yelena. I bet she must be happy now that she follows her sister's path, but I don't know. This doesn't seem right for them.

The camraderie is there for this team, but I don't think they are there yet?
