El and Will in my season 5 rewrite!
I have a hatred for the way Will’s powers work in canon cause to me it was just reheating El’s nachos. And Will deserves better than that! I also hate the whole blood transfusion thing and the origin of the lab kids powers so I scrapped that too.
I’ve been workshopping these ideas since January so I’m really excited that I finally got around to drawing them :D

I love the idea of Mike wearing Nancy’s old clothes at first!! I think that she’d definitely lean towards a more edgy style once she grows into her own but also lots of sweaters and cardigans. I love the idea of her experimenting with skirts and dresses but I also think her everyday style would tend towards being more “masc” and then femming it up with some makeup, nail polish, and accessories (if that makes sense). Kinda futch.

I’m going to have to give the duffers leeway on this one because I read somewhere that Winona’s season five contract gave her time off to film the Beetlejuice sequel. Which is probably why Mike’s mother blew up the demodogs when logically it should have been Joyce.

Yes!! A big big complaint I had with the series was Will’s lack of a substantial love interest so bychance is going to be endgame in my rewrite! I was actually thinking Chance being a “Steve” like character for the party would be really fun, especially a parallel to the stancy moment in s1 when Steve is trying to apologize but gets dragged into the fight with the demo. The ideas are there I just gotta flesh them out more
Small question about your s5 rewrite, do you plan on using some of the canon s5!episodes and ideas or just completely overhauling everything?

My initial thought was that I wanted to keep it as close to canon as possible but I’ve changed so many things that it’s more so just going to ~resemble~ canon (and I use that term loosely lmao). For example, I’ve scrapped most of the lab kids’ backstory, cut down on Holly’s screen time massively, come up with my own groups/duos I’d like to team up, AND turned Chance into a major character. Max and Lucas’ storyline’s are largely the same but again, since I’m cutting back on Holly’s screen time then I’m going to have to figure out how that works.

Sorry it took me so long to answer this, I wanted to have a drawing to accompany my response
I think Mike is going to be that one post but like “I’m probably a girl but the apocalypse is happening so I don’t have time for that” lmao. As you can see here though, there will be signs… including maybe even a conversation between Mike and El +a little bit of Robin side eyeing her. I will be doing epilogue looks for all of the party though and she’ll definitely be girled out in that 😋
Mileven was at thier cutiest patoootiest in S1. I love seeing little kids having little kid crushes. It's so adorable they were so sweet to each other and he was so excited to show her around his house. His tiny little gasp at seeing her in a dress and how genuine he was in saying she was still pretty even without the wig. Like my babies.
My biggest unpopular opinion is that I liked them in S3. I like angst far too much and they were so stupid and funny then. Him trying to make her laugh in the lifeguard closet and her just 🙄. The sass off in that season man i ate it up. And then him being so shocked she took him back at the end. My sweetie pies.
