2019 - 2020 - 2023

This one is a redraw of the 2020 version, 2023 was a very very weird year for my art.

In 2023 I injured my arm and triggered serious carpal tunnel, I barely drew because I didn't have the will to after Dragalia EoS'd. It was a really depressing time in my life!!! I'm a mouse artist so I need to put a cushion under my arm now. augh. My hands are so stiff from drawing all of his braids... (whos wise idea was that design choice?!... mine? ahh damnit)

I was honestly stuck. I didn't really have much to latch onto. I knew I wanted to go for a more dynamic & thick lined approach to the rendering style. I didn't really have all that much inspiration though, but then I got YGO-pilled... The 2023 Gee however, was made pre-ygo interest. I decided I wanted to give up on dynamic shading and instead put it into my linework. whee!

2019 -> 2020 was just kind of. I never used to do lineart. Because I hated it. So in 2020 I finally did some lineart for once. I then spent the 6 years learning how to draw lines!!!! I don't think this is perfect by any means, but I can always clean it up later. Honestly, some of my previous renders look a little barren in comparison to this one. So I might go back and fix those up too one day... I'm going to make a little character website! Come check out my dudes! Yes Gee has a gasmask, he just doesn't wear it inside!
