Bless You || Heath & Garrett
God he wished he could stop sneezing all the damn time whenever there was magic. Heath grumbled to himself as he arranged himself with a huff. The silence was welcomed since he had run out of things to say, and since they werenât talking.. He craned around towards the backseat to grab a box of donuts before turning around and opening it. Now he could enjoy what he had gone to the store in the first place.
Heath was content with just munching on the sweets as they drove along. Half of a doughnut was stuck in his mouth when he looked over for the question. That was a random thing to ask and he had to think about it for a few seconds while he finished off his doughnut. âI donât know. Itâs your call. I canât say yes and act like Iâm the most trustworthy person there is but I also canât say no and say that Iâll back stab you every time weâre near each other.â
The truck came to a slow and steady stop at a red light, giving Garrett time to think over the words. He has no problem putting his trust in the other as long as there is a mutual understanding there. He doesnât want it to come down to it, but if it does and he finds out Heath does his werewolf things for sport, Garrett wonât see it any other way and put the man down himself.
âIâd like too. This town is chalk full of supernaturals, mainly vampires, and Iâm not sure which ones to trust yet. If any.â He said, pressing down on the gas when the light turned green. Gaining the knowledge that a whole pack of vampires were in town had been unsettling, unsure if the words their spokesperson said were true. âLetâs say, you have my back and Iâll have yours? That kind of thing?â
He turned into the bed and breakfast, pulling into a parking spot near the entrance, and turning the truck off. âI didnât lie about the beer, I do have to get rid of them, but since youâre a werewolf and Iâm a warlock, do you care if I make a protection charm? Too many threats in town.â
