I went to Deptford market this weekend and came across this beautiful old bamboo fly fishing rod, a reason enough to try out fly fishing. If anyone knows more about this type of rod please let me know. I would be really interested in finding out.

St Bride Library opened in 1895 as a technical library and printing school for printers working on Fleet Street. The film documents the traditional process of printing using an early hand iron printing press, a skill slowly fading.

My first batch of home brew beer on its way. With the ever increasing interest in micro breweries I decided to try make my own beer. A dark ale.

I am happy to report it turned out rather nice. Now what to do with all of it...?

                                               Soul of Swaziland

One thing that really stood out about Swaziland besides the great natural beauty of the country is the people. 

The ever optimistic charm and friendliness of the Swazi people can easily be seen in their arts and craft. The colorful and charismatic characters, provocative big bottomed ladies, strong spiritual and mythical ties and humorous catch phrases really portray the essence of the Swazi artists personalities. 

I met a few of the artists who allowed me to take some photographs of them while they glowed with pride over their work. A truly inspiring experience.

Art,music and dance in Swaziland is widely encouraged and places like 'House On Fire' actively promote and display the work of the local people. Please do have a look at their website for more details. We stayed in one of the apartments they have on site which was a truly unique experience.

The Kingdom of Swaziland is a small landlocked country in Southern Africa.It is also one of the last true absolute monarchies and is famous for the annual 'Reed Dance' where tens of thousands of unmarried girls come to pay homage to the Queen mother and for the King to select yet another wife. It is one of the most unique and real African cultural experiences I have come across.

Swaziland also offers a huge range of activities and you will never get bored in this small African wonderland.

It is one of the small gems you rarely come across and is well worth seeing if ever in Southern Africa.
