i'm really tilted cause tarantino decided not to add this scene to the running time. i think it would explain a lot. i think hans sent dieter to the bar on purpose. and dieter knew who he was supposed to meet there. dieter and hans were both responsible for security at the film premiere and i do not exclude the possibility that perhaps dieter (like hans) hoped to surrender to the americans but of course we will not know about it. i also think that if archie had not shown 3 fingers, then everyone would have stayed alive
