wta implementing sex testing is beyond fucked like this is such a blatant excuse to treat intense and invasive transmisogyny as if it’s normal and inherent to women’s sport; it’s not and never should be but it’s also naive to hope that anyone prevalent on tour will comment against it. of course this is going to be weaponized further against athletes of color and contribute to a normative “ideal” of femininity in a space where it ought to be entirely irrelevant

i know damage will be done to cis women too, particularly cis women of color, but i would like us to focus on trans women (including and especially trans women of color!) for more than 10 minutes when there's news of transmisogynistic shit being implemented in a sport
