I would love to see a crossover between those fabulous games. Basically I imagine a kind of fantasy Harvest Moon in the typical Animal Crossing style. 

By talking with the driver of the magical bus, your appearance will differ. You arrive at this magical place where everyone is turned into a magic animal and the harvest goddess tells you to break the spell by returning the downrun magical town to its original powerful state. You run around in the typical Animal Crossing manner, earning money by catching bugs or fishes or harvesting fruits you yourself farm, but also by breeding (nonmagical) animals. Interactions with the residents help you to develop relationships and friendships, as well as maybe finding the love of your life. You will be able to determine how your town and your house will look like, turning it into a sweet fairy tale or a spooky halloween town, which also could determine how the people at the end will look like. 

How about a underwater Harvest Moon game? A different location could already take a slightly different turn in how that cute game could be seen. 

At first you are choosing to play a mermaid or a mermen who of course can be customized in hair-, eye-, skin- and scale colour. You are playing as your created character who has to leave their home reef because of evil sharks that kept destroying your home. After swimming far away you found a place where to live in. But that reef is rather grey and lonely, so you take over the responsiblity to create a beautiful and colourful paradise again. 

Plant seeweed and corals for the bottom of the sea, tame wild seehorses and breed fishes, crabs, shrimps and sea cucumber to reintroduce them to their natural environment. Forming the reef and building sea shell fields will attract other mermaids and mermen to join you as inhabitant as well. Finding a love will complete your new life there. I think it would be awesome to see the grey, almost lifeless reef to come back to life as colours start to spread. That would make a good use of 3D or VR graphic. 

A good plottwist would be the return of the evil sharks after rebuilding that reef. And of course it will be your destiny to find the reason for their destructive behaviour! 

POKEPON Fusion RPG

While looking at some beautiful artworks of Pokemon Gijinkas on Pinterest, I somehow ended on this awesome Pokemon Weapon Fusions by rebusalpa. Since I’m still in love with the idea of a Pokemon Fusion Game, this one occured to me as quite innovative as well. I really like the unique style of the weapons the artist created (and he did a whole more), how much thought he had put into the fusions without loosing the special appearance of the used Pokemon. 

I believe people who wield weapons like this would be able to use their abilities and attacks as powerful magic. There would be still characteristics of the original Pokemon series: Since Pokemon Ranger had the symbol system where you could summon some Pokemon I would find it really cool to see a rpg where you had to draw a symbol of a Pokemon you want to catch so you could use its abilities to fight against others. Maybe there would be even Pokemon which turned into some kind of demons and which try to end the reign of humanity and you as the protagonist and the hero of the world has to go on a long, long journey, gotta catch ‘em all and stuff to hinder them at achieving their goal. 

The more I think about it, the darker the game gets. It would be suitable to see a magical, colourful world where humans and Pokemon live in harmony and peace at the beginning of the game, but as the story line goes on (after you caught some Pokemon) the world would get darker as the demons take over. But the Pokepon hero will save the world! 

Why are there so many people, hating on young adults in their 20s who are playing Pokemon Go? Why are they calling us childish for playing a game that brings back moments of our happy childhood? Can't they understand we are playing Pokemon Go out of nostalgia? Can't they see this game is more than just a game, it is a revolution that takes a whole generation outside, getting them together, enjoying memories of the past? Shouldn't they be happy to see this generation to have taken hold of a long forgotten side of themselves instead of indulging into a corrupted world that is called adulthood?

Since Nintendo just revealed the new editions Moon and Sun, I thought about more possibilities for differing editions. So: A male and female edition! 

Thought in every edition there are only male or female pokemon. The same pokemon with different looks (gender dimorphismus). It will only be possible to breed them by trading the different gender. So this edition would be a game that concentrates on trading and breeding more than before. This way the Pokemon developers have to think about the differences between female and male pokemon. 

After beating the Elite Four, you will be able to catch other pokemon. Not from the other edition, but genderless pokemon. The flow of the game won’t be disturbed this way.

You know what a gijinka is? Then let me tell you:

Gijinka (擬人化; Western term Humanization) is the Japanese meaning of “humanoid”, “personification”, or“anthropomorphic”[1]. Rather than referring to just any animal with human characteristics, a gijinka is most often a fan re-design of an animal-like character in a human or humanoid form. The characters often seem to wear a cosplay of the base character rather than having real animal features, which can also be found back in real life cosplay of those characters. (cr: src)

This are some gijinka from the 1st gen of Pokemon. How about putting Pokemon Gijinkas in a RPG where you can determine which Pokemon you play by answering some questions the same way Pokemon Mystery Dungeon does? 

I somehow think it would be kinda cute and cool to be half human and half Pokemon. I mean you can be your own trainer, fighting the way you want! 

The plausible plot would be that you were a Pokemon or a human before and somehow turned into that gijinka form. Despite your new skills and powers you of course want to change back, so your journey begins! 

A different Pokemon game with characters Cosplayers long ago started to love!

Since Urban Farming is a great trend nowadays why not using that innovation for a game idea? 

Of course you have to choose your gender, get to customize your looks and define your birthday, etc. It’s essential for any game of the HM series. The following plot would be different from other games.

You are living in a metropolis, following the flow of daily life. You are a hardworking workerholic, who don’t know what to do about your free time, since you got used to the routine. Characteristics of your character are: Apathic, reserved and cautious. A secret dream is it to find your ideal partner, but because due time pressure you didn’t get any chance yet. Altogther you lead a successful, yet quite boring and unhappy life. 

But one day you are sitting in your apartment, you hear a weird noise outside your balcony. When you’re approaching the flowerpots you see two little legs coming out of the potting compost. You are taking the little being out. It’s a Harvest Sprite, who was looking for a new place to live. He tells you that because of the city expansion it is hard to find a new place to use his harvest magic. If he don’t find anything soon, he and his friends would disappear from this world. 

The nice and kind person you are, you want to help him and start a new task: Looking for buildings where to do Urban Farming and to share the green of plants with this place again. And while you are at it, you may find your true love...

I think it would be interesting to have to use “talking” skills (like in a visual novel) to get use building roofs for the farming. That way you could also start talking to your bachelor/bachelorette more. Btw, this HM would also be a equality HM, gay and lesbians are allowed! Don’t you think so too? 

A game based on the Pokemon world we all know. BUT: The player plays a dissentient researcher who wants to create a new kind of Pokemon: The so called Fusion Pokemon.

Some of you might know the game Dragon Quest Monsters. I really love that game, so I thought of connecting both games. So why not taking that huge and still increasing number of Pokemon and the breeding system of DQ and create a new game? The thing is in DQ your monsters have to be at least level 10 and you still need male (negative) and female (positive) individuals ( though there are also +/- monsters which can be treated as both). There is nothing else you have to consider. In Pokemon you have to follow the rules of egg groups and also the male/female component. See? it is way easier to mix different kinds of monsters in DQ, so Pokemon Fusion absolutely needs that kind of system! 

Besides this each time monsters are breed with each other, they gain power (shown as a “+ number”), rankings and new skills. Perfect conditions to battle.

Since the way to create new Pokemon is now known, the player still has to go out and gotta catch ‘em all. And still has to train them so they can be breed. To make the game more interesting I think Pokemon should keep their special character traits so you have to find matching couples and help them to grow closer to each other, something like helping the male to impress the female through building a nest. 

Of course there also would be a story which the player can follow. Maybe there is some gang out there which plan is it to steal these Fusion Pokemon from you because they may be stronger than the original Pokemon. But you, as the founder of Fusion Pokemon, want to protect your breedings so you go out and create a army to fight the evil. 

Something like that would suit a Pokemon game!

Since I am currently taking part in a roleplay on Tumblr, I thought why not putting some of their ideas into a game idea? The plot of the roleplay shows the life of a rookie who wants to get to the top of the Korean Music Entertainment. Players have to work hard to earn experience and to eventually become trainee at their dream company.

My idea takes place in a otome game. You can choose your gender and there are more available love interests for both male and female. Your dream is to become a singer or a rapper and so you go on a journey where you meet your possible future husband or wife. In the otome games I know (mostly from the Tokimeki series) you have to earn points in a variety of talents like sports or language, so you will be able to visit a university and to be the ideal girl for your choosen guy.

As a singer or rapper other points are more important: Singing, dancing, rapping, charisma, looks and creativity. The more experience and points you earn the higher is the possibility to raise from a dreamer to a trainee and a future idol. The relationship to your love interest and your friends and supporters should also be part of the game. Skinship and minigames are a must! Also events you have to attend will change the mood of the game from time to time since you shouldn’t fail. If you do, then your storyline takes a U-turn and your ending might be a shattered dream.

So work hard and gain success in music and love!
