She sat up, rubbing aching eyes and staring blearily at Abel. The smell reached her first, then the sight of the tray - and the food on it - focused. A teeny-tiny smile lit up on her lips, brightening the dampened aura she had that misty, gray morning. āI didnāt wake you, did I?ā she asked, stretching and scooting over, patting the space beside her for him while she arranged her brave face, pushing back the content of garish dreams. As she woke up a bit more, everything but her words said, āThank you." Her growing smile, the light that was all of a sudden so clear in her eyes, the way she watched him. The breakfast smelled wonderful, and it was clearing out the darkness in her mind. The nightmares were bad, but knowing that someone cared helped soothe the pain.

Rolling over, her back to him, Trini curled up and sighed. She wasnāt hungry, and she didnāt want to be bothered. Sighing again, she looked over her shoulder at him. āThanks, Adri,ā she murmured drearily. āJust leave it on the table.
