Mickey sits in his car waiting for his cigarette to burn out, that’s when he told himself that he would get out and punch the PTA president who was currently trimming a rose bush like some old queer. Mickey doesn’t completely understand why he agreed to his ex-wife’s proposition. Maybe because after all these years a part of him still considers Svetlana and Yevgeny part of his family. Or it could have been the annoying amount of unwanted visitors that kept entering his apartment last evening.

He wished Ian had a bit more of a back bone to turn people away. Not everyone needs to come running to them with every single problem.But he supposes that's why he’s in this car stalking the PTA president of the school for the kid that probably doesn’t even know who he is. Because that’s what family does. They look out for each other. Damn, maybe he needs to apologize to his husband. Mikey hates apologizing.

“I’ll do it,” Ian turns around to see his husband standing in the open sliding door to their balcony, exhaling his cigarette.

“Do what?” Ian asks casually even though he already knows the answer.

“Fuckin’ punch the rich pricks or whatever,” Mickey says. “Sounds way better than staying in this apartment.”

“Mick,” Ian says in a warning tone as Mickey walks up to Svetlana.

“How much you payin’?” Mickey asks his ex-wife. “Actually it doesn’t matter, first time will be free then we can talk about rates.”

“First time?” Ian almost yells. “Mickey think for just half a fucking second. Don’t do something that can get you in trouble.”

“Yeah and don’t pretend it’s your first time punching someone because Svetlana told you to,” Lip quips from the couch, earning him a hard stare from Ian.

“Here’s the address for PTA president,” Svetlana says, handing Mickey a slip of paper. “Do as you wish.”

“How is this the first time I’m hearing about an ex-wife?” Tami says in disbelief. 

“You know Mickey has a kid too?” Mandy shares.

“Shut the fuck up jerk face,” Mickey scolds his younger sister.

Svetlana briefly looks over at the couch where Mandy is explaining her whole marriage saga to the other woman and tries to pay it no mind. It’s none of her concern what other people think of her. 

“I have job opportunity for ex husband,” Svetlana tells Ian.

“What kind of job?” Ian asks, remembering the “jobs” Svetlana would hook Mickey up with his first couple months of prison.

“I organized school bake sale for Yevgeny’s school. PTA was supposed to pay me back and then profit go to new curtains for school theater. Asshole PTA president refuse to pay me back and principal says I should be grateful that child was allowed to attend school,” Svetlana explains with anger in her voice.

“OK, so what do you want Mickey to do?” Ian asks, trying to follow Svetlana’s story.

“You all are still so stupid,” Svetlana rolls her eyes. “I need Mickey and his persuasive skills to convince snotty PTA pricks to pay me back.”

“Aren’t you rich now? What’s it you if people pay you back for baking supplies?”

“Because it’s the right thing,” Svetlana says plainly. "And I will pay."

“You got to be shitting me,” Mickey expressed as Ian opened the door to reveal his ex-wife, Svetlana.

“I could hear your loud dumb voice three floors away,” Svetlana says with her arms crossed.

“Hey Svet,” Mandy greets.

“Who the fuck is this scary lady?” Tami asks.

“Svetlana is Mickey’s ex-wife,” Lip explains.

“Ex-wife?” Tami says as she joins Mandy on the couch. “Someone hand me a beer I have to see where this goes.”

"Where's my cigarettes? Never mind, I'm just gonna fling myself off the balcony," Mickey says and tries to head back outside till Ian grabs his arm forcing him to stay.

“What are you doing here Svetlana?” Ian asks, his voice wavering a bit. It’s been years since anyone has seen her. The last he heard, she and Yevgeny were living on the north side with some old rich guy.

“Look man,”  Mickey says, interrupting the bickering between Tami and Lip. “Just apologize for whatever stupid thing you did or said and get the fuck out of my home.”

“I’m not changing my mind,” Lip tells Tami.

“Fine, then I hope you enjoy your two hour commute to see your kids every other week,” Tami says.

“Wait, are you moving? Didn’t you already have this argument?” Ian asks.

“Since we didn’t move to Milwaukee my sister and Brad did,” Tami shares.

“And I don’t see what that has to do with us,” Lip says, clearly tired of having to continue this conversation.

“Because,” Tami interjects. “Brad got a good job at a not shady bike shop and offered you a job.”

“Hey, the shop has been fine ever since Miguel got arrested.”

“You’re kind of proving my point,” Tami fires back.

“Ugh, I can’t fucking go through this again,” Mickey says. “Just suck your girl’s dick and move to Wisconsin so I don’t have to hear about your damn drama.”

“Good luck having a Gallagher fucking do the right thing,” Mandy chimes in.

“Hey,” both Lip and Ian object.

“No, she’s right,” Tami says. “It would take a miracle if any of you Gallaghers moved to a better school district. God forbid your kids go to a school without a metal detector or drug sniffing dogs.”

“God, my ex and my current girlfriend can’t be gaining up on me,” Lip says.

Tami doesn’t even wait for Ian to fully open the door before barging right past him. She has one goal in mind and that’s to find Lip Gallagher.

“Excuse me, we were not done talking,” Tami says walking straight up to the older Gallagher brother. “You can’t just leave when we’re in the middle of a conversation.”

“You left the room. It seemed pretty final to me,” Lip defended himself.

“I went to the bathroom Lip!”

“Is this the baby mama?” Mandy asks from the couch, taking another bit of the veggie pizza. “You really do have a type don’t you?”

“Uh who are you?” Tami asks. She’s not used to Mickey and Ian having anyone beside one of the Gallagher siblings at their apartment. They aren’t one for friends, at least Mickey isn’t.

“This is Mandy,” Ian explains. “She’s Mickey’s younger sister, we were best friends in high school and her and Lip used to date. We haven’t seen each other in person in a long time but she came over unannounced because she’s pregnant and wants to talk about it. Then Lip came over because I assume he’s hiding from you.”

“I’m not hiding, she left the room.”

“God, I forgot how fast Ian can talk,” Mandy whispers to her brother.

“Your ear adjusts and it’s not so overwhelming after a while.”
