Amy is a special friend of mine i met when i was learning more about jewish papercutting. i was really taken by a papercut made by Israel Dov Rosenbaum and my sister helped me connect with his great great granddaughter Amy through an article she wrote about him. since then we've had Passover together, coffee outings, beach outings, and talked a lot about art and our coincidental shared roots in Galicia! i'm so grateful for this friendship and being able to collaborate and do this piece for Amy is really special. i'm super happy with how it came out!! more on amy's wonderful book to come closer to the pub date ❤️💛💙

a mini jewish papercut on tzedakah! usually tzedakah is translated as "charity", but what it actually means is closer to justice and righteousness. social justice, empowering other people, taking care of each other in various ways. the papercut came out a little more saccharine than i intended, but maybe that's not such a bad thing these days. love to everyone and happy pride!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

thinking about ophie in the warrior cats world... i think she'd be a loner who splits her time getting petted and fed by twolegs, helping clan cats with their various quests, and living the good life on her own. i also think she would go by "Ophelia" to cats who don't know her because i feel it commands respect LOL
