Rules

The brunette turned over in bed and lifted her phone to check for notifications. Nothing. How was everyone asleep? I mean, she couldn't blame them, but she was still bored and wide awake. She opened Instagram and scrolled through it. Food. Travel. Cute dog. More food. She could feel her stomach growl.

Okay maybe Instagram wasn't the best place right now. Ash groaned and put her phone back down. She stared at the ceiling, watching the fan spin above her, hoping that she'd fall asleep.

This wasn't working. She pulled herself out of bed and threw on some loose and comfortable clothing. There was a bar right down the street that was open until pretty early in the morning. She clumsily put on some shoes and grabbed her keys as she walked out of her apartment.

As she got to the bar, she was quick to grab her favorite seat; it was a cozy little corner area complete with a table and small bookshelf. As she made her way over though she lightly bumped into another patron of the bar. She turned around fast and apologized to them. "I'm so sorry, you didn't spill anything did you?" She reached to the nearby bar to grab a few napkins just in case.

Terra hummed softly in thought. She was looking down at the small snapping turtle pokemon. Her face was slightly scrunched up in contempt, but she wasn't mad. She was more confused than anything.

The green haired trainer turned nursery owner moved down to sit on her heels. Reaching out she tried to pet the pokemon, only to have it chitter a bit and move away from her and it's food bowl. "Come on Chewi, why aren't you eating..." She had received the Chewtle as a surrender from a trainer recently. It was shy and bit often (even for it's species) out of possible fear. It wasn't eating either no matter what it was given.

Terra was stumped. Her fingers danced on her knee as she tried to think of someone would know.

Nessa.

Terra's face turned to a big smile. Why hadn't she thought of it before? She remembered the water gym leader and her love for water pokemon, not to mention her ace was after all a Drednaw. Maybe she would be able to help.

After checking some pokemon she collected her Miltank and Flygon before stepping outside. Hopping onto her Flygon she made her way to Hulbury. Terra quickly got to the gym and went inside hoping Nessa would be there.

It was raining. Again. What was this, the fourth day in a row? At least this time she remembered her umbrella.

Ashley stepped out of the museum and opened up the umbrella. Moving out onto the sidewalk, the brunette took a moment to look up at the sky. There was something soothing about it, when she wasn't having to hide away from it of course. It used to be one of the worst parts of days when she didn't have shelter.

A couple drops hit her face and she smiled softly. She sighed quietly and saw her breath in the wind before turning and starting to walk home.

On her way home she noticed a blonde woman standing in the rain, looking around. She seemed lost, but why was she just standing there? Her clothes were a bit strange, however Ashley had definitely seen stranger. They didn't look homeless but fashion didn't mean much.
