Made an OC for an rp server and sheās so prettyyyy
i call this one āusing tumblr as a person of colorā
might update with more images at some point
Into the woods but set it in New Orleans with an all black cast.
The ball could be a Mardi Gras ball, the witch could be a hoodoo practitioner.
The baker and his wife could own a corner store where they make plate lunches and frozen cups.
The Princes could be the president of a frat boy and a drum major.
The wolf could be a racist white guy or a cop.
At the end itās reveled that the whole musical is a story that the Baker is telling to his child during hurricane katrina.
Are you even excited about The Vampire Lestat
š¦so excited for iwtv season 3!!!ā°ļø
I take it back. I am no longer excited for iwtv season 3!!! That shit was boring as hell.

As a transgender manā¦
I love women too much to ever willingly inject the warped ideas of masculine superiority from cis men into my own experience of being a man.
The fact that so many of my fellow trans brothers and transmasc siblings have absorbed these toxic ideals as legitimate reasons to validate their own identity while casting out trans women and femmes is mind boggling to me.
And then on top of that, having the audacity to use the fact that we just happen to be born with vaginas to simultaneously claim āvictimhoodā over trans women which only reinforces cisheteronormative gender norms that buys into the idea that anyone born with a penis is āinherentlyā bad and evil is⦠so antithetical to the POINT of being a trans man, who is capable of reinventing a new kind of masculinity without the influence of cis male toxicity.
Iām not interested in using the genitalia I was born with as an excuse to tell my trans sisters that they donāt āknowā what misogyny is like when the same hand that holds them down is the same one that strangles our entire community for the sin of self-determination.
It just feels like a lot of adult trans men I encounter are not actually interested in growing into their manhood, in a mature and nuanced way. Like, I make it a point to NOT emulate cis masculinity and learn from THEIR social mistakes by actively treating people with basic human decency and respect while maintaining a level of respect for myself as well.
It feels more like theyāre trying to manufacture a division between themselves and trans women and transfemmes in an attempt to validate their own identity as menā¦yet also, finding a foothold in perpetual victimhood by falling into TERF bioessentialist talking points that literally NEGATE their existence as MEN.
Itās beyond sad to me that so many young trans men are careening backwards into the ālittol soft bean trans manā ideas of the 2010s instead of us making real progress towards a new, adult version of ourselves that can handle women, especially trans women, expressing their hatred towards men without acting like we are specifically being targeted by that statement and crumbling over it like fragile cis men do.
TDLR: I just wanna tell some of yāall to grow up tbhā¦like, yāall are literally GROWN šš¼ ASS šš¼ MEN šš¼ arguing about who is allowed to be the āmost victimizedā.
Happy Pride!! Trans women experience a specific type of oppression at the axis of misogyny AND transphobia against them.
THEM BEING HYPERVISIBLE IS NOT A āPRIVILEGEā WHEN IT COMES AT THE EXPENSE OF THEIR OWN LIVES!
As trans men (MEN), the issues we face are completely based in transphobia and the denial of our existence as men who are not cis. Iām tired of hearing the shit thatās been going around about us being targeted because we are ānaive lost womenā.
Stop repeating this shit and accept your own experience in manhood. Stop parroting TERF bioessentialist talking points where āpenis = dangerous toolā and āvagina = perpetual victimā.
I am a man who happens to be transgender. I understand misogyny because I was perceived as a girl/woman growing up but that was NOT who I WAS (or am) and it would be wrong of me to claim manhood while trying to avoid any accountability in parroting patriarchal values as a MAN in a patriarchal society.
We have the conditional privilege that comes with being seen as men, which is very fucking easy in a society that doesnāt hold men to the same physical and absurd standards that they hold women to.
you can say the oversexualization of women in media is a result of the patriarchy and a leftist will start inventing new synonyms for prude
white tumblr liberals if this site existed in 1800s america: idkkkkk i know slavery is bad but like uh i dont like when slaves say they want to kill plantation owners thats kinda icky likeā¦.uhh wheres ur empathy..? they are giving you a jobā¦no seriously i know slavery is bad but like if you do a revolt and kill them for raping your women and using your children as alligator bait and skinning people alive to use their body as furniture you will just continue the cycle like youāll be even worse than them! you cant hate them! wheres ur compassion dude they probably feel rlly bad about whipping you it probably gives them bad vibes
Yāknow after watching the first vampire Lestat episode and seeing a pronoun joke in a commercial from scary movie, Iām very much over writers not being able to just have a nonbinary character exist without them lamp shading how they/them pronouns are so āš¤Ŗridiculous and stupidš¤Ŗā
to be honest, i only personally care about plotholes when they appear in writing i already have a bunch of other problems with. if i like something enough, i'll give it a pass/invent an explanation in my head. i can't find the exact quote, but roger ebert said something about this. to paraphrase: "the movie's problem wasn't [such and such inconsistency], its problem was that i was bored enough to be thinking about that."
