SOMEONE MAKE MY ANDREIL FIC IDEA
Okay this idea has been in my notes app since summer but I have to be honest I'm never writing it so im sending it to the masses. Pls someone make this fic real it is literally my dream.
Andrew is just a supporting typecast actor who always plays the scary bodyguard/criminal/delinquent with no lines, who only landed in this career of just standing around in front the camera acting like he would any other day when Kevin Day saw at a pastry shop as he was staring down a flustered waitress who gave him coffee instead of his regular hot chocolate and was now struggling to make it for him under his scrutinizing gaze and just knew Andrew would be perfect for this side character in this movie he was producing. Andrew needed the money for Aarons medical school and he made Kevin promise him to get him a bucket of ice cream in exchange too (this seemed to torture Kevin but he agreed). Andrew thought maybe it wouldnāt be that bad - it was that bad - but the money kept coming and it was less boring than working at Edens, especially since half the time he gets to wait in his cushy trailer he got after 3 jobs because of his overwhelming niche heartthrob status and after 5 more he got his own personal assistant to get him whatever dessert he wants (robin) who he has a little bit of a soft spot for but sheās a little too cheerful for his liking (when he saw her on set as a new struggling intern the patheticness of her squeamishness was enough of an annoyance for Andrew to step in and take care of it)
Kevin is now Andrewās manager with scarily good ability to spot out the perfect actors for the perfect roles and getting his clients into the perfect projects to stratosphere into fame, he prides himself in being the backstage titan of Hollywood
Neil and Andrew are total opposites in their acting careers. Neil never does the same role twice. Andrew only ever plays the same role in everything he is in. Andrew assumed that this meant that Neil was a pretentious douchebag actor who would look down on his way of doing things, but really only badmouthed him in his head because he was trying to downplay how attractive he thought Neil was to himself. Neil had seen Andrew in a bunch of the movies he was in, had only really noticed him by coincidence when he was watching a movie with Allison with the intention of badmouthing the director and actor Riko as it was his favorite past time. In a scene where Riko was threatening the tied up protagonist with taking his fingernails off (which Neils tells Allison is a lame and uninspired torture tactic) he saw the light catching something in the corner of the frame (Neil who loves criticizing every single thing this director does, moves his eyes up to see what the director fucked up this time and catches the eye of Andrew for the first time who is playing as one of Rikos goonies in this scene, Neil notices the apathy in his eyes as he watching the lackluster torture and thinks that its the most accurate depiction of his own reaction to the same situation happening to him but then just go backs to critiquing the villains torture tactics but not without taking note of how good blonde hair looks with the sunlight hitting it.) (The director is Riko and this was the first movie Andrew did where Kevin found him and begged him to be a background character with no lines knowing he would add a much needed layer of tension in the scene that could not be found in Riko directing and acting, this did not slide past Riko and while on set Riko almost hit with a broken beer bottle prop on the eye but Andrew was there to stop it, he pulled Kevin away and Kevin told him if he can protect him from Riko he will get him as many jobs where he barely has to work as he wants with the maximum amount of money gains, Andrew gives him this look that Kevin immediately understands and promises to buy him a bucket of ice cream for every job he completes. Andrew agrees and thatās how they get into their little partnership together, Kevin becoming Andrews manager) now ever movie Neil sees that has Andrew in it he canāt help to look at the golden hair that seems to always attract the right amount of light to make Andrews silhouette pop out of the background. He respects Andrew bc every scene he is in has an obvious added level of tension as he plays the background goonie for the main villain in the most ruthless scene with a look of boredom on his face. Most of these scenes in Hollywood are hardly accurate depictions of what actual monster look sound or act like but with Andrew there, it manages all to feel a bit more real. Neil respects Andrew.
Allison and Kevin have a rivalry, they are always trying to poach each others clients and have a underlying sense of tension that might go somewhere in the hate sex territory once the book is over but never will they actually be together
Neils last job acting as a serial killer left him too scarred, and he had to take a 2 year break from acting to recuperate. Neil tends to get to deep into his character that he becomes them outside of the filming. he is usually able to regulate this, one night with his friends or playing his favorite sport exy could have set him on the right path on a regular hard day and on easy day just a few minutes in his trailer where he reassures himself of who he is Neil Josten is enough. But this time, the character hit too close to home. He found himself falling into a pattern of imitation of his father, the big terrifying smile he always carried right before he would chop off somebodyās limb with a chainsaw found itself on Neils face daily. He was unable to get out of horrible character. He started carrying knives again and having nightmares about his father.
Neil accepts the movie deal because Allison is convinced that this character is a lot like him, the directors said that he could improvise a lot of his lines as they really wanted to only focus on the action of this mission impossible type movie. Allison says that he could play as himself and just let the stuntmen do the hard parts. Neil smiles at her telling her, you know I do my own stunts, yes but I thought you might want to stop being so suicidal just this once, Neil says heāll do itĀ
Andrew was much easier to convince. Andrew doesnāt allow himself to have more than 15 minutes of screen time in every movie he is in ensuring minimum work, but when Kevin comes to him with a lead role in a partner in crime action movie, he looks at him like he is stupid. Kevin sighs knowing it was a long shot, he tries to convince him that the directors only really care about the action scenes and that the character scenes are very simple and he could just act how he usually does and let his āpartnerā Neil Josten take the lead. Kevin rambles on while Andrew brain stopped when he said Neil Josten, not sure what made him say this but sure itās that menaces fault Andrew says yes. Kevin says what. Andrew rolls his eyes breathes in his cigarette and says Iāll do it. Kevin excited immediately goes to negotiate before Andrew changes his mind. Andrew is left to contemplate his decisions up until now.
The end of the fic ends up with the movies having a really intricate character dynamic between the two protagonists, they is a clear tension between them and how they bounce off each other in the louder and quieter moments leads to a much greater film overall. Andrew and Neil took the film to the next level. There is a franchise offer on the table after the movie comes out and is a mega success people thought it wouldnāt go through since Neil never does the same movie twice but surprisingly he does accept and they go on to make a very long running series together, and wether or not their characters end up in a romantic relationship with each other in the movies is a mystery to us readers but they for sure end up together in this book.
Neil backstory of how he got into acting and met Allison, mention of his friends ??? I stopped my ideation here but I would love if there is mention on how he got into acting, just havenāt thought about it yet.
