"Don't tell me he's winning you over," Aleyna said, eyes widening as she looked at Gabbie. "I can't just--" She started to say, shaking her head, but she had to admit that she had thought of her ex-boyfriend's face when she was hitting the punching bag at the gym, especially during the year when he left, which was a blessing in disguise because it gave her the opportunity to think of him as out of sight, out of mind, and she could totally move on. "I do hope that if he gets punched someday, it's by me, but I just-- I don't know, Gabs. He's confusing me so much right now so I'm just avoiding him," Aleyna admitted with a slight shrug. "Not your strong suit? But you give such good love advice," she teased her, even nudging her slightly. "You ever been in love?" Aleyna suddenly asked, the curiosity winning over.

"This isn't a Hallmark movie. He's, you know, good looking, but asshole-y good looking, don't touch him with a stick good looking." Whatever that dinner meant was going to stay just that, one dinner that leads nowhere. "You better hurry up, there's a list of people ready to do it for you." She already added herself to the line of people, and would gladly do it. "I guess avoiding him sounds like a good start. Is this why he came back? Is he hoping a few good words will somehow make everything else go away?" Gabbie wasn't surprised Garrett wanted Aleyna back, she was a catch and a good person at that, but then again why did he let go to begin with? Aleyna's question threw her off guard, her shoulders go up in response, she spent so much time running around and she barely stayed in one place for long besides Nightrest to even have the time to fall in love. "No, but love is overrated anyway."

"I don't know, they're both pretty fuckin' gross." He's pretending this entire thing isn't happening for a third time. He doesn't comment further on any of what Gabbie is saying, because even if he hadn't been on the best terms with the late Oh, Charlotte was his best friend. "Are all the exceptions just dudes you screw?" Kyle asks, rolling his eyes. At least he had an excuse, and had grown up with rich friends. He didn't go out of his way to head over to Stoughton Estates as an adult and be friendly.

"Did I strike a nerve?" She questions, a faint smile appearing on her face. Gabbie, who always seems to pick the wrong crowd for her thoughts, isn't the type to backtrack and apologize even when its the right thing to do. No, instead she keeps pushing until whatever piece of friendship is left to hang onto is completely gone. And what better time to do so than the moment a killer shows up. Less people to care about if they meet their end. "Wow, are those the whispers that go around town about me?" Her arms cross over her chest as she leans back, letting herself laugh. "It's a tough world, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. But since you're wondering — no, people I haven't fucked made the list too."

“Perhaps, so.” Issy agreed with a laugh. Anything to keep from thinking about the most recent of murders was good enough for her. “That’s kind of you. How have you been?” She motioned for her to grab a seat. “Staying out of trouble?”

"I'm fine," Gabbie replied as she practically threw herself in the seat and propped up her feet. "Trouble? Me? Never." She added with a laugh. "Besides whatever I come up with can't be half as bad as everything that's going down in this shit hole." She sighed, she couldn't say she was that surprised they were back right where they started.

"If they're smart then no one would die, which beats the point of slasher movies," he points out with a chuckle. "You'll last till the end, too. You don't want that sort of attention from the audience?" He's so amused with this because it seems like Gabbie's invested in the entire thing. "You know we lived our own version of a slasher movie the past few months."

"That's true, but I can still judge their poor decision-making." She adds in a sing-song tone. "It sounds exhausting - being a final girl and all that. Have you seen Sidney Prescott? Fought till the end for what? I don't even know how many Ghostfaces tried to get her. And then there's the new sisters, I wonder who will hate them so much they'll don the Ghostface mask next." She explains, glancing between Aslan and the screen every so often. "I know, and talk about a shit ending. We were left on a cliffhanger." Gabbie can't deny that some days her mind wanders to who could have been the second murderer and if they weren't lurking in the shadows.

“That’s... really weird. Just the blackmailing part alone is really bad, but knowing he got a date out of it? It’s-- I don’t know, that doesn’t sit right with me,” Aleyna said, scrunching up her nose in distaste. “What happened at the dinner?” She curiously asked before letting out a sigh. “Yeah, he’s back, and he’s... Well, he... he says he still loves me, says all this stuff about wanting to get back together and... I..." Aleyna shook her head before closing her eyes and resting the back of her head against the couch. “He keeps saying we should talk, but when I asked him straight to his face if he cheated on me, he couldn’t answer. I don’t know, Gabs. It’s all just-- It’s fucked.”

"It's like something out of a bad romantic comedy, except there's nothing cute about it." Now that she thinks about it, maybe she should have tried her luck and dealt with the police if they went up her door. "Nothing - we just talked. I didn't end up trying to hit him so that's something." There was just something about Elijah that rubbed her the wrong way. "What do you mean 'couldn't answer'? It's pretty straight forward. You could talk, you can also take notes and punch him after. You'd be surprised how good that can feel. I don't know, love advice isn't my strong suite, what I know is he's a guy so I wouldn't really believe what he says."

Aslan chuckles lightly, amused by how invested Gabbie is in this lame slasher movie. "If they didn't do that, you wouldn't get your movie and you wouldn't be yelling at the TV screen now," he teases, looking down at her. "What, are you not final girl material?"

"Hey, there should be at least a few smarter characters." Gabbie scoffs before she rolls her eyes. "So you mean be the girl that runs upstairs instead out the front door? I'm not a final girl, because I will be on my merry way, as far as humanly possible from the murderer." Said by someone who despite several serial killers still remained in Nightrest was a joke itself.

"Trying to wrap my head around why anyone would want to ruin a perfectly beautiful Victorian home by adding a deck with a jacuzzi." Issy scrunched up her face before closing the drawing she had done. "What brings you around here?"

"You're probably one of the few people who care about that. Cute." Gabbie shrugged, the way old houses look isn't something she thought about. "My shift starts in two hours, guess I was bored and thought to check up."
