Tips on How to Get Things Done (as someone with ADHD) Part 1

I am not a professional; this is just what worked for me and may not work for everyone.
TIP 1: NOT DOING SOMETHING COMPLETELY IS BETTER THAN NOT DOING IT AT ALL
You don't think you can drink 2 liters of water a day? Don't focus on that. Can you drink a sip of water now? DRINK THAT SIP OF WATER IF THAT'S ALL YOU CAN DO. Now, everyone's limits are different, so you choose for yourself what you can do.
TIP 2: STAND UP. JUST STAND UP.
Is this connected to the last tip? Yes. But is this the most important (at least to me) thing? Absolutely. If you can't drink that sip of water because you just can't move, and you can't eat, or shower, or just do anything.. Stand up. Yes, it may be hard, and probably one of the hardest of the basics, but that is exactly why it's important.
The first step is often the hardest. Standing up is the first step. All you have to do is try.
Once you stand up, don't sit down. Not even when you're doing the task. Not even for a break. Not until you're done. Because you probably know damn well you're not going to get anything done once you sit down. And you're going to have to spend once again so much effort to stand back up.
TIP 4: OKAY, BUT HOW DO I DO SOMETHING NOT COMPLETELY? BREAK IT INTO BITE-SIZE PIECES.
Do you have to write an essay, for example? You can break it down into small, bite-sized pieces (steps).
Stand up -> Find your notebook/computer -> Open your notebook/computer -> Take out a pencil/Open the mindmap website (eg, Canva) -> Write down one idea -> Write down another idea.. and so on.
Now that you have broken these into bite-sized pieces, you can make yourself just do one of the pieces. Maybe you can do one more piece, or maybe you can't, but I find it easier to "open your notebook" than to "start writing your essay".
This can go for more basic tasks, like brushing your teeth as well.
Stand up -> Go to the bathroom -> Take your toothbrush from your cup -> Wet the toothbrush -> Put toothpaste onto the brush -> Brush it for 10 seconds/30 seconds/ideally 2 minutes.
I hope this goes without saying, but there is no right way to do this. It may be unfinished, but at least you did something.
TIP 5: IF YOU HAVE THE ENERGY FOR SPITE, DO IT OUT OF SPITE.
Centre all of your hate, frustration, spite, pettiness, etc, all the emotions that make you lose control, and use that energy to DO THINGS. Use the emotions as fuel. (Obviously, if you have no motivation, you probably can't do this, but keep this in mind.)
Body doubling (or just hopping on a call with someone)
Hype music (Music that makes you feel powerful)
Theatre music (If you're a theatre kid) and sing it. If you like to act a bit, just dramatise it a bit.
Procrastination isn't bad as long as you get things done in the end
Going outside usually reduces the numbness
Don't stay at home for 7 hours straight during the day if you can
Make plans to do things for accountability
Open your eyes really wide (unhinged but try this)
Breathe really loudly and take in as much air as you can in one breath

I hope this has been helpful :) If you can, stand up and go have a sip of water.
