reason: he displays almost all symptoms of BPD. first and most obviously, nagi is implied to be his FP, and he is shown splitting and displaying destructive behavior when he feels as if he's been abandoned. He considers nagi his "treasure" and obsesses over him to the point of ignoring anyone else. after he's abandoned by nagi in his eyes he suddenly switches to hating him, seeing him as horrible and having an incredibly black and white perspective. his relationship with nagi is also characterized by fear of abandonment, another symptom, as demonstrated in his reactions as well. later on, he also displays suicidal ideation, wanting to just die because he believes nagi has left him. although his behavior with nagi is a large part of his bpd-coding, that isn't all there is to it - even on his own, before meeting nagi, he lacks a consistent self image until he discovers football, which he tries to make his identity. this shows a lack of a sense of self on his part, as he instead bases it on things around him. he's also associated with chamelions, which can be seen as a nod to how people with bpd may sometimes try to replicate others' personalities to try to fill in for their own lack of understanding of themself.
