In my opinion(and Iâve been watching TV since 1952), Tom and Rachel were the most exciting couple ever created on television.  The chemistry between them was electric; they were the alpha male and alpha female of a new world order, and they belonged together.  When the writers, who had done such a magnificent job of creating them, decided to kill her off, I couldnât believe their stupidity.  Rachel was the heart of the show and Tom the soul; without her, there is no heartâonly shooting, killing, fighting, exploding, blood-drainingâŚ. you get my drift. Tom is left alone; Sasha is just another soldier who happens to be an old girlfriend.  Pretty, helpful, smart, but boring. Farewell to Rachel; farewell to The Last Ship.

Oh, hon, I wish we had better news for you but the only advice I can give you is this: Stop watching after the season 2 finale. Pretend what takes place after a certain scene in the season 2 finale never happen and the world is save and so is everyone else.
YES, the famous Tex. :D If it hadnât been for the chemistry between Tom and Rachel, I would have gone head over heels for Tex/Rachel. Tex is such a great character, badass to the bone and at the same time a loving father and friend. What I like the most is the way he doesnât hold back with either Tom or Rachel when he knows theyâre wrong or defends them when the others have wronged them. Iâd like to believe that Tex is BFFs with both Tom and Rachel (BrOTP all the way for both) and probably their biggest fan, something like the captain of their ship. :)

I saw on twitter I think, or possibly in an article, one of the writers or directors confirming that Rachel is dead. But I dunno, I'd like to think she's not and I really hope she isn't, do you think she's still alive. Either way I'm holding onto my hope that she is still alive.
Yes, it was an interview from ComicCon.that confirmed Rachelâs death.
BUT like you and many other fans, I also believe (and hope) she is coming back. Iâm just not ready to let her go. Whoever thought ending her story like this and letting it have no effect on the others, did a really bad job at the writing of S3.
I would only accept it, if the whole thing turns out to be an elaborate ruse and at the end of the season we see her again. I would forgive TLS all the cringe-ness of S3 should it come to this.

I wrote this after being inspired by this post by @maereed, who wanted an AU fic where Rachel is alive and thereâs a valid reason for it. I know the whole Tom/Rachel fandomâs a little down at the moment, but Iâm firmly of the belief that Rachel is alive and well somewhere and that I wouldnât be surprised if there was a scene similar to this in the near future. And if the worst has happened and Rachel doesnât come back, well, weâll always have fic right?

Before the premiere was pulled Sunday, I already decided to watch the TonyâsâŚ..Iâm just not sure I want to watch at all at this point. I did not see the premiere episode and I have not tried to find it to watch. I do however feel like something is off.
