November 18th might very well have been the longest day of her semi-immortal life, but as she held her now sleeping newborn baby, everything in the world seemed right.
“...Did you see them..? He doesn’t open his eyes for very long..but when he wakes up, you might catch a glimpse or two.. He has your eyes..I think he has your cheeks, too..”
She was tired, most definitely--but until she had to, she didn’t want to sleep. She had her peace sitting by her side, and a bundle of joy in her arms between them--she couldn’t think of anywhere else she’d want to be, right now..but it certainly wasn’t some dream. Still, as she brushed at the fuzzy baby locks on the top of his head, she couldn’t help but feel like she was still living in one. These past nine months had felt like a dream--a wish that was finally coming true.
“...I can’t wait for everyone to meet you...”
Truly, it was a blessed day--for, on November 18th, at 12:15 in the afternoon, Isaac Hadyn Ortega was born.
