Life outside seems easier than the 'prison life' we endure in Gaza. I try to imagine other places where life is difficult, but I realize that even the harshest environments are open; at least there is a way out. Gaza is a closed prison. A rocket could kill you at any moment, food and water are rationed, and the heaviest burden is being besieged by memories, destruction, and graves. It is a constant cycle of physical and psychological torment.
Prices in Gaza have started to rise unusually, and goods have almost disappeared from the markets. Types of vegetables are scarce and expensive, and meats have vanished from the markets too. I mean, what's happening is the beginning of a new famine; food is expensive and scarce in the markets!

Please help my friend Ahmed! He's a disabled teenager living out of a tent in Gaza, and has recently developed severe anemia due to chronic food insecurity. He needs money for medicine and nutritious food as soon as possible!
Israeli attacks exposed his mother to toxic gasses while she was pregnant with Ahmed, and he was born with a disorder that affects the growth of his teeth. If he can raise enough for medicine, supplements, and nutritious food, the next goal is raising enough for medical evacuation to get treatment for his disability which is no longer possible in Gaza.
Ahmed ( @ahmedaldani333 ) is one of the many young people of Gaza forced to give up his studies and instead raise funds for his family to survive. He is such a bright, thoughtful young person, and he deserves to grow up safely with access to healthcare and education.
Our situation is getting worse, friends, because of famine and our inability to get food and medicine for my brother, who has reached the highest levels of anemia. I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.
Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

My drawing tablet broke in mid-July, but now I got a new one, so to test it out I doodled these little sharks! ✨
I love Tamagotchi, even though I never had the original when I was a kid. I was happy that the new one had marine animals, but of course the shark would be "generic", and of course they emphasized the dolphin, hehe.
So I created my own Tamagotchi shark designs! 🦈✨
My friend from Japan helped me come up with appropriate names for each of them. Maybe one day we'll have cute sharks in Tamagotchi. ✨
