Vanir was lying in a field near-ish to a lake. They sat in the shade of a tree and their umbrella, reading a small green book of old fairytales, when they saw him. A familiar face was walking in their direction, a little bit down the sidewalk. They knew the other shouldn’t seem familiar - to any normal person, he wouldn’t- but Vanir wasn’t normal. They were…oh, what had Andover called it? …Peculiar!
See, Vanir had visions -premonitory dreams, mostly, though when they were lacking sleep it did tend to be a little bit more That’s So Raven-esque. They’d had them since they were little, maybe six, though they’d only recently learned to embrace the premonitions, rather than try to ignore them, especially since Vanir had found that they were usually about something important.
So, when they saw this kid on the street, who they’d only seen in said visions before (instead of just letting him go about his business like any ‘normal’ person would), they approached him.
Jake was cautious as the other approached him, he had no need to be. But then again he had every need to be. Being to careful made him seem rude, not being careful enough could get him killed. It was a fine line, that he would like to see gymnasts try to walk.
He looked at the other as they came closer, “You know, if your lost, I’ll be of no help.”
