Intensive research of Kurogiri had been more successful than any of the pro-heroes had expected. How it was full achieved is unknown to doctors, and pro-heroes alike, but the help of young Eri’s quirk had worked a miracle. Oboro was back. As back as one could be when their life was snuffed out too early, and then they were the reanimated vessel for a villain. His mind was still young, and fresh, the same boy he was working to fight that villain when he didn’t pay attention to himself and put the civilian children first. The difference now was… newfound survivor’s guilt, regret, guilt for things he barely even remembered doing (in fact that he didn’t have control over doing in the first place) and a strange sensation lurking in the back of his brain. Memories of a villain that he had become. “Hey - are you ready?” Kayama broke the silence. The R-Rated hero retrieved Oboro’s attention. He looked towards his friend, still surprised at how older she was. Not only in looks but maturity. He took in a breath, to hide the fact he was lamenting. Oboro lifted his hand and gave Midnight a thumbs up. “Hell yeah!” But, was he, no. What was he doing? Well. When he had died Oboro hadn’t left behind just his friends. No, he had a boyfriend. Someone who he hadn’t even fully got to experience the relationship of a lifetime with. Their relationship was still new when he passed, but he knew that he had loved him. After all, the pining and crushing for the months before they had finally reached the dating phase had proven that.
Kanta. Even the sound of his name in his brain, and the sensation of feeling it pass from his lips made him shake. He gripped his fist tighter on his lap and tried to regain his composure. They were heading to his home. Kanta’s home. It had been Hizashi, who was accompanying the two of them, that had told Kanta was still (well, not, still, he had returned before Oboro was recovered) to Japan. He had been near rampant to see him. He didn’t know what had changed – if Kanta had moved on, but at that time, he was just desperate to be reunited with him. His mind had been refreshed, his emotions recovered, he was still in love with Kanta. He just didn’t know if time would have changed his feelings for him. Kayama had told him that although men had come in and out past the doors of Kanta’s house, there hadn’t been anyone that had lasted enough for a relationship. Kayama pulled up beside the gates, gesturing at Hizashi to do her bidding and get out of the car to ring the buzzer. Oboro chuckled at the antics of his friend, before turning his head and soon found himself stunned at the sight before them. The mansion that Kanta lived in. This was his home? He was astonished because it was huge – this wasn’t what he would have considered a home – but there was a vibe to it that he really did feel shouted Kanta.
Hizashi didn’t mention Kanta. He said that it was just the two of them. Midnight and him. ( “Alright, give me a sec to buzz you in.” )
And that was what pulled Oboro out of his stunned expression and feeling of surprise. The sound of Kanta’s voice. After so long. He felt his spine tingle, his head lowered as he stared at his sweaty hands against his lap. It had been so long, even if for him, it felt like it had just been days prior that he had heard Kanta. His memories had come back as if they were the same day that he had died. While he had other memories, and his body had aged considerably, he felt as if it was the same as that day. (Although this wasn’t the same day as he had been recovered, there had been days of tests and recuperation and ensuring that everything was good.)
The gates were opened, and Hizashi back in the car, and Kayama continued with the quick drive up towards the mansion. She stopped the car in the circular turn in front of the mansion and Nemuri and Hizashi left first. He was nervous, it took a minute to snap himself straight and act like normal. He pushed himself out of the car and tucked his hands into the hooded top that he wore – he still didn’t have proper clothes yet, borrowing what he could from his bestie Present Mic here. “Whoa, he lives here?” He whistled as he tried to confine his true feelings down under his personality. “I still believe he has a Sugar Daddy stashed away in there,” a teasing tone came from Midnight, but she was perceptive enough to know that this was a sensitive situation. This was after all a reunion that wouldn’t go easily. A more serious look came over Kayama as she flashed a look towards Hizashi, before making the move to knock on the door to get Kanta to open it for them herself.
