wondering where youd be in life if youd gotten diagnosed when the symptoms first presented instead of years later
stop acting like adhd isn’t a real/serious issue
not treating adhd can lead to a lot of problems in adulthood, including:
substance abuse and addiction
having symptoms of depression and anxiety
other comorbid mental health problems
binge eating
difficulty in school
failing grades
suspensions from school
dropping out
not obtaining a college degree
making less money
changing jobs often
lower likelihood of employment
losing important paperwork
difficulty keeping tracks of bills
risky sex
early or unwanted pregnancies
divorce
getting in car accidents
criminal activity and arrests
obviously not everyone with adhd will have all of these things be true of them, but they are more likely in adults and adolescents with untreated adhd

If you don’t have means to a therapist or mental health professional
Check out therapistaid.com. There’s worksheets there that you can download for free.
Of course it would be a lot more beneficial if you have a therapist to help you through it but not everyone has access to one.
It’s a free site where you can have free downloads of worksheets on many things.
If there’s something there that you think would be helpful, print it out and complete the worksheet on your own.
It’s hard to be accountable for yourself but at least there’s a way for you to have some insight and work on yourself.
I love your @ Thoight it said "fundamentally ill", which was hilarious because of how I feel at times

You're welcome!! Pdnos (in my understanding) is basically when you don't meet the whole criteria for a pd but you have strong traits of one or more which significantly affect your life. I don't have pdnos but I have bpd and before I was officially diagnosed I was self diagnosed and spent 2 years researching personality disorders which is the only reason I'm somewhat knowledgeable
thank you so much for helping me understand, it’s been a lot to process for one day

I'm not sure how I can help, but I can reassure you that ADHD often comes paired with depresion and anxiety. Autism is "measured" on spectrum (from low to high). Some ppl with ADHD have some similar behaviors as autistic ppl and might be harder to diagnose with certainty if they are autistic at all. Are you meeting a therapist? They can help answer what's not clear. And don't take these results to heart; on good mental days, nobody will know or see any of this.
thank you for responding! i’ve previously has doctors bring up autism but i’ve personally also suspected having adhd for a while so it’d a relief to have that being looked at. i’m trying my best with the last part, it just was a bit of a startle

It sounds like "unspecified personality disorder" means pdnos: personality disorder not otherwise specified which sounds like basically the same thing
thank you! i wanted to make sure cause i don’t know a whole lot about personality disorders
i got a new screening back today. this one says depression, anxiety, adhd, autism, substance use disorder (there wasn’t a section for ocd and i didnt input it) and “unspecified personality disorder”
i don’t really know a lot about the last one (i’ve never been dxed with a personality disorder). i’m also having a bit of a weird time processing it, any help would be appreciated (i dont even know if that means pdnos)

knowing you cant recover until you get to a better environment, but not being able to leave the one you’re in
seeing little things that shouldnt be upsetting but still having everything rush back to you
having a small army of mental health workers helping you
when your fp of many long years leaves you like they promised they never would and even though you knew they would all along, it still surprises you
coping by listening to sexual songs instead of sad ones bc you only feel valuable when you're thinking about/having sex

people not taking your mental health problems as an illness and instead taking them as a personal failure
not knowing how to help yourself but knowing you need it
