something i don't know if anyone has pointed out before: when the demon from modri's memories leaves, he says ごちそうさまでした, "thank you for the meal."
when sebastian makes the contract with ciel, the translator chose "i will claim your soul," but in the original japanese, sebastian says いただきます (itadakimasu). it's literally translated to "i humbly receive," but is commonly used before eating to express gratitude for the meal. often translated to "enjoy your meal."
what’s interesting is that both demons use expressions filled with gratitude and respect toward the meal, while at the same time it is a form of mocking humans for them.
