VR Game Programming

Well I managed to get something working!  I took GearVR out of the loop unfortunately, but what I got was still a fun conglomerate of 3rd party tech :)  Here we see my girlfriend trying the demo.  It was a simple blue room with white 3d cubes, but you had a gun that was motion tracked and it fired... all wireless!

Just finished taping off the camera visibility volume, while PS3 updates (PS4 kinda took over, I wish they'd release Move.me for PS4)

If you or your kids have never worked with Arduino, then you don't know how easy it is to make robots.  Even less intimidating are electronic clothes that only light up and stuff and react to motion... shhhh!  They won't even know they are already building robots!  (Mech suits, whatever)

I'm still having an issue with the comport in unity.  Basically the data comes in plenty fast in an arduino sketch, but something about snagging the data in Unity is slowing it down, presumable some missing interface to properly work with and handle the input stream.  Still fun though.  Found some 9 dollar DOF chips elsewhere, so hoping to make a $60 Finger-tracking glove to combine with Sixense STEM/Hydra for cheap full body tracking w/ fingers!

Chest piece for homemade VR suit. #Razer Hydra mounted to a psmove controller. This tracks the chest and hands. Along with biped IK rules, this is "step one" for low latency DIY full body VR in Unity projects. This is so I can test my game projects before the #Sixense STEM gets here.

The studio, featuring the Oculus Rift hanging from the ceiling as well as USB extenders for a "VR Suit" connection (i.e Razer Hydra and PSMove controllers) also a PSEye. The Kinect also featured, as well as 3 extra PSEyes. (at Lightmagnet VR Game Studio)
