Introduction & First Day of School ~ 9/4/2019
I have no idea why people think summer holidays are bad for parents because they can’t send kids to school for half a day. Have you ever tried to wake up, feed three kids and make sure they’re on time five days a week for nine months for 12 years? Now, that’s what I hate. And that’s what my kids hate too. Except for Joey, he’s excited right now but I know he won’t be tomorrow (me neither, bud). I ain’t gonna shit you and say ‘hey welcome to my blog i have a prefectly clean house and five children that are absolute angels and our life is great’ cause oh my goodness I’m not a fucking perfect parent and I don’t even know that much about kids but I know some about my kids and I’m trying- while the results might not be the best, all in all, my kids are the best they can be and that’s enough for me.
So let’s start with the youngest one, my baby bear, Teddy. Teddy was born on Halloween, 2017, making him almost 2 years old already. And I know I’ll be crying when he actually starts pronouncing the letter ‘f’. He’s terrible at that letter but it’s hilarious whenever he goes ‘Hi, priends!”. He’s a whiny, clingy, little thing that won’t let go for hours once he wraps his arms around you.
Then there’s Lily, on the far right. Just turned three on August 12th. My absolute best friend and the sweetest little girl I’ve ever met. I’d say she’s the most polite and the calmest out of all five. She may be a little nasty to her little brother but she shared her ice cream with him once and that’s something. Lily’s definitely creative too, she draws a lot and while I’m still not sure whether it’s a giraffe or a dog with a really long neck, she’s heading into a right direction.
My little redhead, Joey. Joey turned 4 on May 5th and is now heading to school for the first time in his life. He’s definitely a sensitive child but he’s very empathetic. He’s an amazing friend and he’s really smart for a four year old. He just knows when something is wrong and does his best to cheer everyone up. He’s absolutely obsessed with Batman, it’s always Batman this and Batman that but hey, as long as it makes you happy, kid.
My first daughter, Vivian. She’s way too smart for me, all this science crap she’s into that I hardly understand- She’s also the only one that actually enjoys school despite spending six years of her life there. She reads a lot but also watches a lot of TV, mostly the screen adaptations of the books she’s read. She’s not the biggest fan of her siblings… or me. But, hey, you can’t choose family, champ.
And my oldest, Cedric. Cedric’s a twelve year old. And let me tell you, twelve year olds are fucking dicks. I learned so much about Fortnite in the past few months despite never playing the game. All the gross jokes and ‘your mum’ jokes are an everyday thing now and I can’t wait for that phase to go away. But I gotta admit, he does keep his grades up and has hobbies other than video games.
