Luv’s Spinner, 2049. Originally conceived by Syd Mead, Spinners of various types have been used in both Blade Runner films. Spinners aren’t common possessions.  Prohibitively expensive, they’re mainly used by government officials, law enforcement, as emergency vehicles and the wealthy.  This particular Spinner belongs to Luv (Sylvia Hoeks), a bodyguard for the world’s richest and most powerful person, Niander Wallace (Jared Leto).  Luv is a replicant whose status and perfectionism are reflected in her vehicle, which director Denis Villeneuve describes as “the Ferrari of Spinners”. 

A low line of shore was visible at first on the right between the movement of the waves and fog, but when we came further it was lost sight of, and nothing could be seen but the mist curling in the rigging, and a small circle of foam. John Millington Synge
