L'Épopée slave) est l'œuvre monumentale la plus ambitieuse de Alphonse Mucha, bien différente des affiches Art nouveau qui l'ont rendu célèbre. Il s'agit d'un cycle de 20 immenses toiles peintes entre 1910 et 1928, retraçant l'histoire, les mythes et les moments marquants des peuples slaves. Mucha voulait créer une œuvre capable d'exprimer l'identité culturelle et spirituelle slave.
