What is your current set up? Guitars/ basses, pedals, strings, picks, & amps. (feel free to keep any secrets you deem necessary) Guitars: I play on guitars I build; Mason Custom Guitars. Emg 85-p85 pickups in one, custom wound Dimarzio pickups in another. I also have a few Schecters that I can shove a neck up a stages ass and not feel bad about not getting it back.  Heads: Marshall jcm 2000 tsl 100 - Marshall jcm 2000 dsl 100 - Peavey 5150 II All have been gutted and modified.  Cabs: I built a 4x12/2x15 cab that we call the box spring mattress because it’s huge. The other cab is a really old Randall that has old vintage 30’s.  Pedals: I run two different setups in one: "A" is the tsl and Peavey together, run through a tuner, a “red threat”, a Digitech Whammy, a Memory Boy delay, into a Twin City aby. "B" is the dsl into a tuner, an octave, a loop station, a delay pedal and into the twin city aby.

Strings: Daddario XL117(11-56) and XL145(12-54). GAZA uses a lot of different tunings, because we’re a lot of different stupid. Picks: PW Black Ice mediums (.080)    How long have you been playing?   I have been playing since the age of 13. There is always room to expand on ideas and improve playing, which is why I do anything.    Do you have any music training?   Self taught. Even though being around Top Fuel Dragsters a good amount of my life is a solid reason for my tinnitus, My ears/brain/hands are still doing the job for the music side.  Who are your influences?   Just to mention a few: Mark Kozelek, Andy McKee, SRV, Stanley Jordan, Mike Kinsella, Ween. Sam Harris-Author.    What piece of your “rig” can you not live without?   My guitars. I wish I would have started building them at 15, rather than 24.   Do you prefer recording or playing live?   I enjoy doing both. Recording can throw new challenges and ideas where ever you let them. Playing live gives you the chance to show that you actually have no idea what you’re doing…..whether that is playing an instrument, or running around on stage like a ‘tard with best friends.
