I’m still learning how to just be.

Indra shuddered at the thought, “Gross” she muttered, squeezing her eyes shut before looking up to him. “Look, it’s not a problem really, I only live a block away, and it’s clearly not healing” she said with a shrug. “I’m Indra, by the way.”

"It’ll heal.” It came out a bit snippy, but Gus was starting to become annoyed. Not with her, but with the fact that it should be healed by now and the fact that it wasn’t was worrying. “Augustus.”

Indra just sighed and nodded, “Why would there be bear traps?” she asked.”You have to sterilise wounds otherwise they become infected” she said. “I have some disinfectant at my house if you want it.”

"So people can have big fuzzy bear coats as their rugs.” The thought of any animal hunting annoyed him. “I’ve never heard of that. ‘m sure it will be fine without it.” It was a big if, but Gus didn’t want to cause this girl more trouble than necessary.

mai’s expression hardened, and she crossed her arms over her chest. “so what makes you think you’re more well suited to go into the woods as opposed to myself? are you telling me that you told me not to go into the woods, but you went into the woods and got hurt yourself?” her voice was full of disbelief, and she pursed her lips. her hazel orbs scanned his injury, and she couldn’t help but shudder. “that does NOT look like it’s healing. at all.” she snapped this out, irritation full in her words.

The girl bit the corner of her lip, trying to think of an answer. “I mean, it hasn’t healed that well so” she said. “Bear trap?” she asked with confusion, tilting her head slightly. “Did you sterilise it?”

"Of course it hasn’t.” The brunette shook his before before looking at the blonde in confusion. “Huh? Yeah, it was a bit of a surprised.” His frown only deepened. “Sterilize what? I got the trap off with a rock.”

“first of all, gus, what the fuck? how did you get this, and why didn’t i know?” mai glared at the older boy, a frown on her face. “second of all, you’re kidding, right? you’re gonna fall on your GODDAMN face.” her words were blunt, and a bit cold, but she was irritated, in her defense.

"in the woods, why do you think that i told you not to go in there?” gus shrugged, looking down at his leg. “it’s not that big of a deal. i’m not gonna fall, i’ve been walking on it since it happened.” it didn’t hurt but it didn’t exactly look like it was healing either.

Indra’s mouth opened slightly at the sight of the other boy’s injured leg. “Oh my gosh!” she said, eyes widening. “No, it really doesn’t. Do you want me to bandage it up?” she asked, looking up to him.

Augustus frowned at her answer, letting out a huff. “Well on a scale of one to ten, how bad is it?” It’d happen almost a week ago but it didn’t seem to be getting any better, stupid bear traps. “No, I’ve already had it bandaged. It didn’t do anything.”

Augustus hadn’t necessarily heard the female come to the rocks, but was slightly spooked when she began to talk. “Jesus.” Letting out a deep breath, he looked over at the vampire and nodded. “I guess it’s okay. Kinda cold, but it’s whatever. You bored or like the water?”
