Fruity and Oaty

Wow, that’s really difficult, like reeeally difficult. How can you be so cruel to make me choose his Top 5 moments when every moment he has is amazing? I’ll try to choose something, though it’s really quite a challenge.

1. Time Bomb - when he totally loses it. Scruffy hair, mad look, “apologies” to Gunn, books everywhere. Love it.2. Shells - when he cold-heartedly kills Knox in the middle of Angel’s speech about not killing people and later without thinking jumps into the portal after Illyria (“My world is gone”. “Now you know how I feel”.) But mostly, the whole episode. 3. Loyalty - the whole episode. How he struggles with what he thinks is right, how he tries to trust Angel, belive his friend would never do something as terrible as the prophecy accuses him of. And how it all comes down to this final scene in Angel’s hotel room. Flawless.4. Lineage - the whole episode. Looking how he reverts to the one we saw in BtVS and how he loses all his confidence is too painful to describe. And in the end he kills his fake!father and has to live with the knowledge he would be able to kill his real father to save the woman he loves. Perfect.5. Parting Gifts - the whole episode. Because it’s his first episode in the series, he’s rogue demon hunter, rides a motorcycle and wears leather! And that’s really enough for me. 

There should also be a place for Home, Salvage, Waiting in the Wings and so many other episodes. Or maybe every other one he was in? And definitely every single scene he does his thing with guns. 

Top 5 characters I ship him with is an easier question, though I ship him with almost every woman on the show (which only enhances how much I love him ‘cause with other characters I adore I have only one pairing. and here I can see him with everyone. preferably with happiness as an addition, but that’s like out of option, so…).

1. Lilah - OTP (although I have to say I was a little bit late to this party, falling in love with them somewhere around Habeas Corpses or even later. But the rewatch made me certain they are number one). They were just perfect for each other. One can say she only dragged him in darker places then he already was in S4, but in my opinion it was completely the opposite: she helped him get out of them and without her he could as well stay the same way as he was in the end of S3. And he helped her feel something real, maybe for the first and only time in her life. In the end, it was love. 2. Illyria - following close behind (rewatch made this “close” really close). Wes had a talent when it came to making those who don’t feel experience emotions, real feelings for him. I love the fact that she came such a long road in such a short period of time: from Shells where she doesn’t care about anything except her dead army, through Time Bomb when she kills all of them with a smile in the same time being bothered by Wes betrayal to Not Fade Away when she CRIES when he dies. Because she feels something for him already and I am furious we didn’t get to see their relationship progress in S6. :feels:3. Fred - because he loved her even before he knew her. And that’s enough for me, even though I really don’t like Fred right now (don’t even get me started about “You really don’t care anymore, do you?”). I don’t believe she was the one for him, but she was his sunshine. And she was also the dead of him, I would say. Tragic, just tragic. I will never be able to watch A Hole in the World without plenty of tissues in my reach.4. Faith - because of one video I watched and their scenes in S4. Two people who had come really long road from where they had started and had to be really damaged to find a way to work together, properly as Watcher and a Slayer, like they should have always been. I wish they had more scenes together. 5. Virginia - because it was the only relationship in his life that was healthy and not complicated. Maybe that’s why it didn’t last long. It was just too healthy. 

I wanted to include Cordy there, but I only shipped them in BtVS and never on AtS. In BtVS they were so sweet, awkward and strangely unsuited that I just couldn’t not ship them. AtS is a different thing though. I love their relationship up to Sleep Tight, because there is some great family dynamic and they sometimes behave like good old marriage, but without any romantic vibes. So let’s just leave it in BtVS field.

Hope I didn’t bore you with my long answer! When it comes to Wes, I just don’t seem to be able to stop talking/writing. Like ever.

It’s that time again. My Buffy collection, reorganized. I haven’t been able to expand it as much as I would like but I’m working on it =]

Top shelf is a display (calendars, dvd and vhs sets, puzzles, games and Giles figure).

Second shelf are all mass market sized paperbacks. Spike is there as well.

Third shelf are DVDs and trading cards.

Fourth shelf is another display with puzzles, and more card boxes. My board game is also supposed to be there but I forgot it and its not pictured.

Fifth shelf down are books about the show (scriptbooks included), as well as trade sized novels.

Sixth shelf are all my graphic novels and comics.
