It is so funny to me how Simon is constantly getting put into the most dangerous and dire situations and every time, and I mean, Every Single Time, he wins.

Gets turned into a rat? Bites the vampire holding him hostage.

The whole group is about to be killed by a big demon? Simon kills it in one shot.

Gets turned into a vampire and kidnapped as a sacrifice? Not only escapes but also becomes immune to the sun.

Vampires want him dead for being immune to the sun? Gets THE LITERAL MARK OF CAIN AND NOW IS UNKILLABLE.

Summons an angel, and the angel wants to kill him? Survives because of the Mark of Cain.

Sacrifices himself to a demon? only turns human and loses his memories, no big deal, he can now become a shadowhunter and get his memories back. It's not like he actually liked being a vampire in the first place.

He literally was the most powerful being walking the earth at some point, and he was just a guy in a shitty band.

Hillarious.

The literal definition of fucking around and never finding out.

Zuko painted his skin red each night with the even strokes of a prayer.

This was no Blue Spirit of the Deep Waters. This was Zuko and his rage. Zuko and his shame. Zuko and the cloak he donned in honor of the legend of a woman who covered her scars in paint and turned her grief into light.

Drenched in red and covered in shadows, the Painted Ghost bends lightning and flame in search of retribution.

“the parallels between Zuko and Sokka-” hey HEY. I am grabbing you. The parallels between Katara and Azula. Both the younger, gifted bender. Each one being the inverse of the other: a living, breathing what if. Katara being horrified at what her bending can do when pushed to its limits vs Azula always trying to push hers further. Katara instinctively trusting everyone so easily, even though it burns her sometimes, and Azula saying trust is for fools, fear is the only reliable way but still losing everyone she cares about in the end. Katara yelling at her dad and being hugged in return vs Azula doing everything possible to please her father still being harshly reprimanded, so you know exactly why they both turned out the way that they did. Katara’s trauma being connected to losing a mother vs Azula’s being connected to having a mother. Katara ultimately being the one to take down Azula and standing over her, staring pitifully because that’s who she could have been, in another life. is this thing on
