This is a real story about Pearlescentmoon and why her beautiful humanity shocks me.

Hello. My name is Chalice Puma Sway. I am most often called Chalice or Puma. One very special person calls me Chooloocoo. Her name is EbonyGMusic. I call her Ooboonoo. Ebony lives in Australia and is close with Richard Thornton. Ebony did a song for GIGGS Phasmo. She did not come to Twitch Con San Diego because she has a skin color that would likely attract ICE agents. She had saved her money but decided it wasn’t worth the risk. I offered to get something signed for her and she considered it for about a month. In that time I found this notebook pictured and bought it. While I did think of Ebony and her bee branding I bought it for myself. She said I could get a notebook signed and I offered this book and she was delighted but felt it was too much. I assured her it was not expensive.

So I decorated the new autograph book with her name and some stickers and brought it to Twitch Con. Set on getting some signatures. The panel was very full and I knew there would be no way to have a meet n greet n the hall. I went to the JojoSolos and Aimsey signing early to get in line and spotted Tango, Skizz and Cub. I stood in shock at my good luck and heard someone at my shoulder I turned to apologize for blocking the aisle and stared into the beautiful face of Pearlescentmoon. Well her chin I am only 5’6.

I sputtered and fished in my bag for my sharpie and Ebony’s book and asked Pearl to sign. While she was signing I told her Ebony was one of Richard’s lot. She had been afraid to come to Twitch Con. Pearl admitted she heard things after she had booked everything. She handed the book back and stopped. Asked me if I was sending the notebook to Australia. I said yes and she offered to take it and get signatures and hand it off to Richard. I was shocked and said I would ask Ebony. Ebony agreed. I told Pearl if things didn’t happen it was ok. She had alot on her plate. She looked at me determined and said she’d get it done. I almost cried then got “I lov…” out it my mouth then stopped and apologized for nearly saying I love you. She gave me a hug and I handed over my sharpie and the notebook. Truly floored by the whole encounter.

Today on stream I asked if the notebook had made it back to Australia and Pearl said it had and listed off over a dozen autographs. I was stunned. I could never have gotten so many. I don’t know if anyone fully understands the beauty that is Pearl but I had a glimpse and it makes me weep.

“You should better run.”

She built an entire ender dragon out of duped dragon eggs out of spite in a prank war she wasn’t even a part of at the time (because she was hired to very tediously clean up all the duped eggs). She built a purposefully ugly shopping district portal in season 10 after showing she was capable of building a gorgeous one in season 9, solely because she kept being poked about it. She loves to just say odd things and then pretend she didn’t. She has multiple times had a conversation that went “(Odd thing)” “Pearl what?” “What?” “What did you just say?” “Nothing *clears throat* anyways,”. She invented the phrase “toeballs” to describe being able to see her eyes through her feet when she moves her camera below her in third person. Because what else would you call it? Her and her chat became sentimentally attached to a rubber chicken from a horror game she played literally once and now he’s worshiped as a good luck charm. His name is Larry. She drew him for charity.

She may be the girlboss but she will gaslight. She will steal an enchantment table and then admit that she doesn’t actually know why she stole it. She says and does stuff that’s so out of pocket that it made BigB “Says Weird Stuff” St4tz2 stare at her in confusion multiple times. She will lie to twelve people to get some iron she doesn’t even need just because Gem said it might be funny. She is doing a different accent now than she was five seconds ago. And another. And another. And now she’s singing. And now she’s using the rubber chicken.

She threatened to break the silver block while Avid screamed and cried, for no other reason than she found it funny that it upset him. She will meow at someone in a deeply tense situation and get pouty when they don’t complement her cat impression. When playing a new Phasmo map she went straight to checking out the garden with no sense of urgency. She walked into a crypt and when the others with her thought it was creepy that it was empty her solution was to just throw rotten flesh into it. She made Doc dance for golden carrots. If anyone loses track of her for two seconds she wanders off to do who knows what and that is universal across every SMP. She reminds me of a girl I had assigned to me as a camp counselor who was an “eloper” aka if we didn’t have at least one counselor with eyes on her at all times she would walk off into the woods. Geminitay insists that Pearl is the weirdest person she’s ever met.
